The largest decentralised LLM pre-training run in history. SN3 templar trained Covenant-72B across 70+ contributors on open internet infrastructure. Now it’s being discussed by Chamath Palihapitiya with NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang. Distributed, open-weight model training on Bittensor is getting started.

Bittensor is decentralizing Governance away from Opentensor It gives the network the ability to move fast when consensus is clear, and slow down when proposals need more scrutiny. Topics in this episode: • chain governance • Conviction (linked below) • root yield • root funds • subnet emissions • slashing primitives • shorting and longing • Tao Flow v2 Link to governance preview:

Introducing a new cryptographic governance primitive >> Conviction - The Formula: Conviction = Stake x Time. - Linear Unlocking: Lock Alpha tokens for a set duration (e.g., 365 days) to prove long-term commitment. - Mutable Ownership: If an owner acts maliciously, the community can collectively lock their tokens to a new key and vote them out. - Delegated Conviction: Miners and investors can delegate their conviction to cryptographically back teams they trust. First, testing this primitive on subnets 3, 39, and 81 to help the community regain control before a wider rollout. * Initial design still being tuned and tested, more information E071 // Hosted by const 00:00 - Addressing the recent subnet owner exploit & subnet governance 07:18 - Introducing the "Conviction" mechanism 11:38 - Rollout Plan: starting with subnets 3, 39 & 81 18:42 - AMA Begins 21:03 - How subnet teams can still raise capital (OTC) 24:47 - Q&A: Hostile takeovers & malicious whales 41:22 - Why centralized competitors can't buy and kill decentralized subnets 54:14 - mogmachine (ττ) joins: Scenario testing subnet impacts Drop your thoughts or questions ↓ #Bittensor #TAO #CryptoGovernance

Other networks have "rug pulls" every day. They ignore this problem. TradFi startups solved this with vesting cliffs. Introducing Bittensor "Conviction" - locked stake so token holders can cryptographically verify an owner's long-term commitment. Trust proven mathematically.

Decentralized RL as fast as centralized RL for LLMs. Bittensor SN81 grail has shattered the bandwidth barrier with PULSE (Patch Updates via Lossless Sparse Encoding). "By identifying the 99% weight sparsity inherent in Adam-bounded updates, we've achieved a 100x reduction in weight synchronization - dropping 14GB transfers to just ~140MB " Erfan Miahi + const :: covenant
