Here's a wee curiosity from 1978. Supposedly a local from Peter Keenan's Stable Bar setting off to cycle all the way to Argentina for the World Cup on his bike in 1978. It all feels a bit acted, although I don't immediately recognise the main man. 📷 STV #Glasgow #WorldCup

Fraser's decorated to the nines, and the famous Lewis's window displays captivating Glasgow youngsters in December 1984. I remember the trip into town every Christmas from Nitshill, and the excitement of walking up Argyle St marveling at Lewis's famous Christmas windows. 🎥 STV
