Today, we toured the farm of Dr. Paul Tunguwara to gain insights into his farming activities. Dr. Tunguwara, who says he is inspired by President Emmerson Mnangagwa, is venturing into a piggery project. Dr. Tunguwara revealed that President Mnangagwa has already approved a similar initiative—a poultry project for War Veterans under the Presidential War Veterans Fund. Each province will construct a fowl runner to accommodate at least 50,000 broilers, with the profits from this project being reinvested into the Presidential War Veterans Fund account to further empower more War Veterans. At Dr. Tunguwara's farm, he currently has more than 1,000 cattle.

Yesterday, I had the privilege of officially commissioning the Presidential Borehole Drilling Scheme in Cowdray Park, Bulawayo. This solar-powered borehole initiative—running under the theme “ #MvuraKuvanhu / #WaterToThePeople / #AmanziEbantwini” and incorporating a nutritional garden project, serves as tangible evidence of how the national community development programs spearheaded by His Excellency, President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, are meaningfully transforming livelihoods across the nation. This commissioning marks the official launch of an extensive borehole drilling rollout slated for Bulawayo Province. While the landmark Lake Gwayi-Shangani Dam project progresses steadily toward a permanent solution, with structural completion now surpassing 74 percent under the President’s targeted infrastructure drive, this borehole scheme provides a critical interim intervention to alleviate immediate water challenges. Reflecting a shared commitment to community welfare, the event was strictly non-partisan. We were honored to bring together leaders from across the political spectrum, including ZANU-PF Bulawayo Provincial Chairman Cde Jabulani Sibanda alongside Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) officials, including CCC National Organizing Secretary Hon. Badza, as well as local Members of Parliament and Councillors. Demonstrating a further commitment to social support, His Excellency also extended a generous allocation of 2,000 food hampers to vulnerable families within the Cowdray Park community. Upon my arrival, I was deeply moved by the reception of thousands of residents gathered in solidarity. A profound expression of public sentiment was evident through the numerous placards supporting the Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 (CAB3). The data clearly demonstrates that this bill is a genuine, citizen-driven initiative; of the parliamentary submissions, over 500,000 expressed absolute support. This data serves as definitive confirmation that CAB3 represents the collective will of the people rather than an individual agenda. #CAB3 #Vision2030

Yesterday in Marondera during the Presidential Borehole Drilling scheme official unveiling, citizens expressed a clear and compelling vision: their focus is on development, not elections. This sentiment reflects a growing recognition that sustainable progress is achieved through investment in infrastructure, services, and livelihoods rather than prolonged political contestation. Having lived in the United Arab Emirates, I have witnessed firsthand how a nation can achieve remarkable transformation by channeling its energy into development. The UAE has built world-class infrastructure, diversified its economy, and elevated the quality of life for its people — all with limited emphasis on electoral processes. Their model demonstrates that when governance is anchored in delivery and efficiency, citizens benefit directly. For Zimbabwe, the message from Marondera is instructive. Communities are calling for reliable water supply, modern infrastructure, healthcare, education, and economic opportunities. These are the foundations of dignity and prosperity. Elections are important in any democracy, but they should not overshadow the urgent need for tangible progress. Policy must therefore prioritize development as the central pillar of governance. By focusing on service delivery, resource management, and inclusive growth, leadership can respond to the people’s call: progress before politics, development before elections. #CAB3Bhoo

The first reading of the Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 (CAB3) in Parliament yesterday by the Minister of Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs, Hon. Ziyambi Ziyambi, marks a defining moment in our nation's political history. We stand at a critical crossroads where the aspirations of the people are finally taking center stage. Having personally traveled across all ten provinces of our country, I have listened to the voices of ordinary citizens from all walks of life. The feedback is remarkably consistent and undeniable: Zimbabweans are tired of political gridlock. The overwhelming consensus from the ground is that people want CAB3 to succeed. There is a palpable fatigue regarding polarized politics that stall progress; our citizens are demanding tangible development, economic growth, and better livelihoods above all else. What makes this moment truly historic is the emerging consensus within the legislature itself. Following recent interactions with Members of Parliament from the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC), it is evident that support for this bill transcends party lines. The opposition MPs I spoke with expressed clear alignment with the objectives of CAB3, reflecting the broader mood of the nation. This is a rare and refreshing moment of political maturity. I am fully convinced that CAB3 stands as one of the most genuinely bipartisan bills to come before this Parliament. Because it directly addresses the collective desire for national advancement rather than partisan dominance, I confident it will sail through the legislative process smoothly and without challenge. This is a victory for development over politics.

Presidential Hospitals Rehabilitation Programme Reaches Mpilo, Bulawayo In a significant stride toward equitable healthcare development, the Presidential Hospitals Rehabilitation Programme has officially extended its reach to Mpilo Central Hospital in Bulawayo. This milestone marks a pivotal moment in the national effort to modernize Zimbabwe’s health infrastructure under the guiding theme of President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa: “Leaving no one and no place behind.” The initiative, which has already transformed several key medical institutions across the country, aims to revitalize hospital facilities, upgrade medical equipment, and improve patient care standards. Mpilo Central Hospital, one of the largest referral hospitals in the southern region , now joins the growing list of beneficiaries, signaling the government’s commitment to inclusive development. Local officials and hospital staff have welcomed the move, noting that the upgrades will significantly improve service delivery and reduce the need for patients to travel long distances for specialized care. This development underscores the Second Republic’s vision of a Zimbabwe where quality healthcare is a right accessible to all citizens, urban and rural alike. As the programme continues to roll out across the country, Mpilo stands as a beacon of progress and a testament to the government’s pledge to uplift every corner of the nation.
