Anyone who has heard Dan Fichter WannaGetFast speak at a TFC understands what Stroud is doing here. The connection? Matt Van Dyke is the Executive Director of Player Performance with the Texans. Matt has spoken at multiple TFCs. Chris Korfist is now working for the Texans too!

Always looking for a new stimulus. First time we’ve ever done wickets on a curve, clockwise and counterclockwise.

Excited to be a part of this ambitious program at Augusta Christian (GA). AC will be the first school to install “Feed the Cats” as the foundation of K-12 PE. In addition, FTC will be embraced in all sports. AC wants to become the model for other schools. The April 17th event will be open (and free) to anyone wishing to attend.

The 2018 4x1 video where Marcellus Moore comes from behind to win and break the IL 3A record still gets a lot of attention. Strangely, quite a bit is negative. Yesterday, it was pointed out that “JV 4x1 teams in California run 41s”. Others brag about the amazing recent 4x1 times in Texas. Having coached 23 years at a small Southern Illinois school, I was often reminded that my best teams would have trouble competing at the fresh-soph level in the Chicago area. Like all fans, I’m amazed when I see the times coming out of Texas and other sunshine states. However, it’s interesting that two Texas college stars were in that 2018 4x1 video from Illinois. Courtney Lindsey ran 9.89 & 19.81 for Texas Tech last year. Marcellus holds the 60m record at Texas (6.56). I respect the nation’s best track athletes. I also respect track athletes that train in cold, wet, and windy states, sometimes practicing in hallways. (It snowed all day in Chicago yesterday.) I respect athletes from small schools, even if their sprinters wouldn’t make my 4x1. “If you burn your neighbor’s house down, it doesn't make your house look any better.” ~Lou Holtz

Always amazed me how well we executed the 23-Second Drill as our first lactate workout of the year. No aerobic-focused workouts, no laps, low-volume. All speed and power. Sprint-Lift-Jump-Bounce-Throw Get fit by stacking performance-level anaerobic work on a foundation of rest, recovery, and sleep.
