I’m sorry y’all, but as a real, true, authentic New Yorker… I just can’t get with this Mamdani grift. One year you’re naming Tom Thibodeau when asked to name a current Knick. The next year you’re giving a Knicks championship speech like you’ve been living and breathing Knicks basketball your entire life. And to be fair, it was a good speech. He’s a talented speaker. He’s a great orator. But that’s exactly why I’m skeptical. Because the most effective politicians know how to make themselves feel familiar. They learn what people care about. They learn the language. They learn the culture. And then they wrap themselves in it. Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe Zohran Mamdani has been the biggest Knicks fan in New York this entire time. But as a real, true, authentic New Yorker, something about this doesn’t feel organic to me. It feels manufactured. It feels calculated. It feels like branding. Watch the clips and judge for yourself.

For millions of New Yorkers living in rent-stabilized apartments, this is a major victory. For the first time in years, tenants won’t see their rent increase while everything else continues to get more expensive. I support the rent freeze. Working people deserve relief. But there’s another side to this conversation. Many landlords argue that insurance, taxes, labor, and repair costs continue to rise. If those costs aren’t addressed, the concern is that some owners may defer maintenance, creating more deteriorating buildings and more pressure on housing quality. The real question isn’t whether tenants deserve relief. They do. The question is whether New York can protect tenants and keep buildings properly maintained. #nyc #ny #fyp #mta

Mamdani wants to make you pay MORE to own your car. Not because you did anything wrong — just because your car exists. He’s not taxing billionaires. He’s taxing the people who drive their kids to school. Remember this at the polls today until the ballots are counted! If you own a car in NYC, this is your warning. #nyc #mta #politics #mayor

They really want y’all to believe this is just about “traffic” 🤔 Bike lanes everywhere. Bus lanes everywhere. Streets turning into outdoor lounges. Pay just to ENTER Manhattan. Now they talking about charging you to park near your own home… And if that’s not enough? Lower speed limits. Cameras everywhere 24/7. More rules for drivers… Less enforcement for bikes… But yeah… nothing to see here, right? 😭 Then they hit you with the “environment” angle… “Less cars = less pollution” Cool. But at what cost? Because when you make driving: More expensive… More stressful… More restricted… Of course people gonna stop driving. That’s not a coincidence. That’s strategy. More tolls. More cameras. Lower speeds. Less space for cars. And next up… more meters. Call it whatever you want… But don’t act like this isn’t a car phase-out in real time. Pay attention. Agree or I’m bugging? 👇 Follow me—because I’m breaking all of this down piece by piece. #nyc #mta #fyp #ny

This one hurt different. A 15-year-old kid… gone after a basketball game. But by someone who looks just like him. And that’s the part nobody wants to talk about. I didn’t move my son out the environment I grew up in because I was scared of the police… I moved him because I was scared of this. The reality where I gotta raise my child… and at the same time hope another child don’t take his life. That’s not okay. That’s a crisis. And where are the politicians now? They loud when it’s convenient. They loud when it trends. They loud when it gets them likes. But when our kids are killing each other? Silence. If you only speak on certain violence… then you’re not about justice. You’re about attention. Because real leadership means speaking up even when it’s uncomfortable… even when it forces us to look in the mirror. This is bigger than politics. This is about our kids. And if we don’t say something now… who’s next? #nyc #ny #fyp

Most people complain about New York City jobs being impossible to get… meanwhile the MTA is literally opening up exams that can CHANGE your entire life if you move on them NOW. 🚇💰 Good pay. Benefits. Pension. Job security. Real careers. And the crazy part? A lot of people miss these opportunities simply because nobody told them the filing dates or how the process works. That’s why I made this video. I’m breaking down the upcoming MTA exams, when they’re filing, what the jobs are, and how YOU can put yourself in position before everybody else catches on. 👀 Stop sleeping on city jobs. One exam application could completely change your future. Tag somebody in NYC that NEEDS to see this. 📲🔥 #nyc #mta #ny #fyp

THIS is the real rent crisis in NYC. Luxury buildings keep going up. Working people keep getting pushed out. This didn’t happen by accident. It happened by approval. “The middle class isn’t shrinking — it’s being evicted.” Teachers. Transit workers. Nurses. City workers. People who keep New York running can’t afford to live here anymore. Everyone keeps talking about homeowners. But renters are the ones being forced out of the city— Not because they’re lazy. Not because they didn’t work hard enough. But because the system was redesigned without them in mind. If you’ve felt this pressure… If your rent jumped overnight… If your neighborhood doesn’t look like it used to… You’re not crazy. You’re being priced out. 📣 Share this. 💬 Drop where you’re from in the comments. 🔁 Save this for later. #nyc #ny #mta #fyp

A man pulls out a gun on a NYC train during a verbal dispute. No visible threat. No physical altercation. Just words. Then someone claims, “He showed a badge.” But here’s the question nobody can ignore: Was he really law enforcement? Because if he was, this directly contradicts New York City Police Department training. Brandishing a firearm without an imminent threat is not protocol. So what are we looking at here? • A real cop violating policy? • A fake badge? • A civilian with a concealed carry permit who escalated unnecessarily? • Or someone playing cop in public? One thing is clear: this should never happen on public transit. Workers, riders, families—no one signed up to navigate armed disputes underground. NYC cannot normalize this. The subway is not the Wild West. 🎥 Watch the video. 🗣️ Tell me what you think. ❗ Accountability matters. #nyc #mta #ny #fyp

Sometimes the encourager ends up being the one encouraged ✨ After RFK Jr.’s Senate hearing the other day — where the media was slandering him with lies and false narratives — I decided to send him a private message of encouragement. To my surprise, he responded back with Scripture: Ephesians 6:12 🙏🏾 The irony? I reached out to lift him up… but his response actually lifted me up. This showed me something powerful: in times of adversity, we must show up for our friends. Let them know they’re doing a good job even when the world is against them. That kind of support comes back around stronger than you think. 💯 #rfkjr #fyp #truth #friend

The Long Island Railroad strike got the whole state talking right now. Kathy Hochul says if the workers get what they asking for, Long Island residents could end up paying more in taxes. Then she blamed President Trump for the strike. So I caught up with gubernatorial candidate Bruce Blakeman in Coney Island, Brooklyn and asked him straight up: • Is Hochul handling this situation properly? • Should workers be blamed for fighting for more? • Are taxpayers about to get stuck with the bill? • And what would he do differently if he was Governor? This wasn’t no scripted political interview either. Real questions. Real answers. Real politics. And some of what he said might surprise people. #nyc #mta #ny #fyp

Remember when Zohran Mamdani was running around talking about “free everything”? Free buses. Free programs. Free this. Free that. But now suddenly the conversation is about charging New Yorkers for parking that’s currently FREE. Right now there are over 3 million parking spaces across New York City. Only about 80,000 of them are metered. So what’s the new idea floating around? Expand paid parking to 25% of those spaces. Why? Because the city says it needs $1 BILLION to deal with a growing budget deficit. But here’s the part people should really think about. A parking meter might cost you $2, $3, maybe $4. Forget to pay it? That ticket could be around $65. So the real question becomes… Do they actually want you to pay the meter? Or are they counting on New Yorkers to forget… …so they can hit you with a $65 ticket? And that’s not even the end of it. They’re also floating residential parking permits, which could mean paying just to park near your own home. So let’s connect the dots. Congestion pricing. More traffic cameras. Street redesigns squeezing out car lanes. And now charging for parking that used to be free. At this point if you drive in New York City… You’re starting to feel like the city’s personal ATM. 🚗💳 #ny #nyc #fyp #mta

I, Tramell Thompson, fully endorse Curtis Sliwa for Mayor of New York City. As a lifelong New Yorker and Brooklyn resident, I share his priorities: public safety, fairness, and real leadership rooted in common sense. Early voting starts tomorrow! It's time to support someone who actually has a plan to protect our communities and uplift our city - not divide it or control our choices. Curtis Sliwa has my full support.

OMNY really got y’all tapping and HOPING for the best 😭 How we went from a MetroCard telling you your balance EVERY swipe… to a “modern” system that tells you NOTHING? No balance. No warning. Just vibes and embarrassment at the turnstile. And don’t say “check the app”… this is NYC—ain’t nobody got time to be scrolling their phone in rush hour just to see if they got $2.90 left. This what I mean when I say the MTA upgrades systems… but downgrades the EXPERIENCE. 🎯 Spent all that money on OMNY… and couldn’t add a simple balance display?? Make it make sense. #nyc #mta #ny #fyp

I never thought my first labor award would come from Republicans. I was raised Democrat. Taught to lean Democrat. Never taught to be Republican. And yet — here I am, a Black man from Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, whose entire lane is labor, unions, and worker advocacy, receiving the Dorothy Day Award. For those who don’t know, Dorothy Day was a fierce labor activist who stood with workers, the poor, and the marginalized — even when it wasn’t popular or politically convenient. What’s ironic is this: They say Republicans don’t care about labor. They say they don’t care about unions. They say they don’t care about Black people. Yet my first real recognition came from them — not the party that claims to be “pro-labor,” while keeping laws like the Taylor Law on the books that punish workers for exercising real power. So I’m grateful. And I’m honest enough to say I’m surprised. Thank you to the Kings County Republican Club for recognizing the work — not just for the members I represent, but for working people across NYC and beyond. Labor isn’t red or blue. Labor is about who actually shows up.

New Yorkers keep hearing the slogan “tax the rich.” But take a closer look at what’s actually being proposed. Mayor Zohran Mamdani is pushing a plan to slash the estate tax threshold from $7 million to $750,000 while raising the top estate tax rate to 50%. Let’s be serious. In New York City, $750K is not a mansion. That’s a regular home in many neighborhoods. Which means this policy wouldn’t just hit billionaires. It could hit the transit worker in Queens. The teacher in Staten Island. The NYPD officer in the Bronx. The FDNY firefighter in Brooklyn. The sanitation worker who worked 30 years to buy a home. For most working families in New York, their home is the biggest asset they will ever own. And when policies make it harder to pass that home down to their children… That’s how generational wealth disappears. So the real question isn’t the slogan. The real question is this: When politicians say they’re targeting the rich… But their policies hit working homeowners across New York City… Who are they really taxing? #ny #nyc #mta #rich #fyp

New York is under a State of Emergency because of dangerous snow conditions. Yet transit workers are still being ordered to report to work. Let’s be clear: Calling us essential does not make us immune to hazardous conditions. The MTA is now canceling AVAs, OTOs, and vacation requests—and trying to blur the lines by implying that if you don’t come in, you don’t get paid. That claim does NOT apply to sick days. Sick rules are contractual. Management cannot unilaterally change them—not during a snowstorm, not during an emergency, not ever. If the MTA insists we show up in conditions that are being declared unsafe for the public, then logic and fairness demand hazard pay. You cannot call workers “essential,” expose them to life-threatening conditions, and refuse to compensate them for the risk. Essential without protection is exploitation. Essential without hazard pay is unacceptable. Transit workers deserve better. #nyc #ny #mta #fyp

Everybody outside yelling “NO KINGS”… and I actually agree. But let’s stop acting like “kings” only exist when it’s convenient. Because not too long ago, people were told: Take this… or lose your job. Take this… or you can’t work, travel, or even eat in certain places. That wasn’t a suggestion… that was pressure. And somehow… that didn’t count as “king behavior”? Now all of a sudden, we only see it when it fits a narrative. “My body, my choice” gets used when it’s popular… but disappears when it actually matters. So let’s be real… It’s not your body, your choice. It’s your body… THEIR choice. I’m all for standing against “kings”… but let’s keep that same energy across the board. Not just when they tell you who to point at. 💯🔥 #nyc #mta #ny #fyp

The MTA knew OMNY was being rolled out. They knew MetroCards were ending. They knew employee EPIC passes were going to become obsolete. And yet here we are, with MetroCards ending tomorrow and employees still not having their OMNY passes. Let that make sense. This isn’t a technology problem. This is an operational failure. If the MTA can’t even plan how its own employees are supposed to get into the system, how can they seriously talk about safety, efficiency, or reliability? They plan for the public but forget the workforce that actually runs the system. Working people are once again an afterthought. That’s not just frustrating — it’s disrespectful. They always seem to find money for new gates, consultants, and gimmicks, but somehow basic planning for employees gets ignored. This is exactly why morale is low, why trust is broken, and why workers feel unheard. You cannot build a modern transit system while failing the very people who keep it moving every single day. Fix the basics. Respect the workers. Plan like professionals. #mta #nyc #ny #fyp

Stop the nonsense right now. Holding Democrats accountable does not make me a Republican. I’m not one — and I’m tired of that lazy deflection. Every time someone critiques Democrats, y’all jump to “well what have Republicans done?” Miss me with that. That’s not accountability, that’s avoidance. New York is a DEMOCRATIC-RUN state. Democratic Governor. Democratic Senate. Democratic Assembly. And yet everything is HIGH — rent, groceries, tolls, fares. If Democrats are really for working people, why does the Taylor Law still exist? Why are Black families being priced out of New York? And when they leave… where do they go? Let’s not forget the 1994 Crime Bill either. This isn’t about parties. This is about RESULTS. Accountability shouldn’t scare you. #ny #mta #nyc #fyp
