Kimi's CEO🇨🇳 says every AI lab has the wrong obsession Zhilin Yang, on why K3 beat the frontier: "Every lab, like Claude, thinks the model matters most. That's wrong. It's how you organize the people building it that wins." Then Moonshot proved the philosophy. K3 sold out every plan on purpose, cutting their own revenue instead of throttling existing users. When Anthropic hit that wall in April, they cut users' usage 50% at peak. His one big idea: long context is the AI era's RAM. The 128K-to-gigabytes jump, compressed into 2 years instead of 40. The real moat: "your biggest advantage, perhaps your only advantage, is your organization." Model, or the team behind it: which actually wins?

Paul Graham on why AI might never replace startup founders: "AIs don't have needs. Airbnb existed because its founders couldn't pay rent. Facebook existed because Zuck wanted to know what other Harvard kids were up to" AI can build the thing. Wanting the thing badly enough to start is still human Which of your ideas came from a problem you personally lived?

WOW: Kimi K3 just killed the AI subscription era 🇨🇳 On July 27, Moonshot publishes the full K3 weights under a modified MIT license. ▫️ 2.8 trillion parameters ▫️ 1M token context ▫️ Open weights, yours to run "The frontier becomes a file." The closed labs charge you monthly for access. Moonshot just made the frontier a download. Does open weight end the subscription model, or do the big labs still win on polish?
