The NFL forced Al Michaels to 'correct the record' on-air... WOW. Apparently, the league's official status on the controversial missed FG is that it DID NOT hit the wire. "The league wants to take my lunch away because I said before that Reichard's only miss came when he hit a wire in London. The league says, 'no, no it was an optical illusion.' [That's] not what Reichard thinks."

This morning, the Hughes brothers told the TODAY that when Jack got his teeth knocked out vs Canada, Quinn lied to him over its severity in the moment -- "It's all good man, it's only chipped. You're gonna be ok..." Jack: "The first guy closest to me when I'm laying on the ice is obviously my older brother and he has the puck and you can see he's looking at me to see what's going on with my teeth and I remember him coming up to me and going, 'It's all good man, it's only chipped. You're gonna be ok...'" Quinn: "I could see him right there and I saw his smile and I thought 'uh-oh, that doesn't look good...'"

There it is. Kevin O'Connell told Tracy Wolfson before the game today that, while JJ McCarthy is going to Europe, he will NOT return to the field until week 7, after the Vikings' bye. "The plan for JJ McCarthy is to make the trip to Europe and continue to rehab there, and then they have the bye and he will hopefully play week 7."

The Vikings are doing everything in their power to keep the integrity of their starting QB competition alive. Here is Jeremy Fowler on SportsCenter yesterday reporting that KOC is in no apparent hurry to crown a QB1, despite their being questions around the league over the legitimacy their "battle" between Kyler Murray vs JJ McCarthy. "So I'm told, between Kyler Murray and JJ McCarthy, the Vikings are comfortable letting this play out a little bit longer. They're not pressed to name somebody the first team guy or give a guy first team reps. They are splitting it evenly still."

So... Target Field concession workers plan to go on strike next weekend (June 22), when the Los Angeles Dodgers come to town. Their workers union is accusing MN Twins contracted concessions vendor 'Delaware North Co." of refusing to negotiate in good faith over possible healthcare coverage and pay raises for their mostly minimum wage workforce. Delaware North told FOX 9 via statement that fans should expect little to no changes in game day operations next weekend. Mike Florio reported on a recent episode of ProFootballTalk Live that KOC was "overruled" during the Vikings' 2025 offseason QB search -- that he wanted Darnold, Jones and Rodgers but didn't have a choice but to role with JJ McCarthy and Sam Howell. "As I understand it, O'Connell got overruled. He wanted to have Darnold or Jones or Aaron Rodgers, and he got overruled. They said no to Rodgers. Rodgers wanted to play for them last year, and they said no. They're sticking with JJ McCarthy."

Guy might need a mirror for all that anger... Reporter: "[Hynes] kind of praised you for how you have handled the situation. After Game 1, Nazem Kadri revealed a weakness the Avs scouted pre-series on MN Wild goalie Jesper Wallstedt... then quickly backtracked when asked about all the COL goals scored from the left faceoff circle. 👀👀 Kadri: "I feel like I was in a pretty good scoring area... I've been watching a lot of this goaltender, so I just picked my spot and definitely, definitely picked it properly." Reporter: "It looked like a lot of you guys were picking that spot...?" Kadri: "Yeah. I mean they were just really good shots. As a goaltender, I'm not sure you can do much about it..."
