81 years ago the Soviet Union, together with their American and other allies, defeated the scourge of Nazi Germany. Today many in the West seek to forget the role played by the Soviet Union and the sacrifices made to achieve this victory. It is essential that we never forget our shared history, and the lessons derived there of. Never forget, and never forgive. On Thursday night I had the honor of attending the Victory Day celebration at the Russian Embassy. The Russian officers of the Defense Attaché Office are some of the finest men I ever met. It is good that we are friends. Happy Victory Day!

FOR THE CHILDREN OF THE DONBAS In this special edition of the Russia House, I had the distinct pleasure of interviewing Yana Lantratova, a member of the Russian State Duma. Earlier this week the President of the European Council, Ursula von der Leyen, asked President Trump to help “make sure the children of Ukraine” are returned to their families. President Trump responded in a way that gave credence to the allegations put forward by Ursula von der Leyen. But these allegations are lies. The truth rests in the heroic actions of people like Yana Lantratova, who risked their lives to rescue children trapped in homes and villages shelled by the Ukrainian army, their families killed, their tiny bodies broken and bleeding. Yana saved their lives. Russia saved their lives. This is the truth. And this interview is essential for telling this truth to the American public.

Today is the first day in 64 years where the world wakes up to find the institution of arms control and the framework of treaty-based agreements that protected humanity from the horror of nuclear weapons no longer exists. We once held the prospect of peace in our arms. Then we threw it all away. RIP Arms Control, 1972-2026

PROJECT 38 On January 13, 2018, President Trump's failed non-proliferation policies resulted in 38 minutes of terror for the citizens of Hawaii. Project 38 seeks to reclaim these moments for all Americans. On February 4, 2026, the last remaining strategic arms control treaty between the United States and Russia, New START, will expire. Void of an extension of this treaty, or the activization of an alternative arms control mechanism that replicates/improves on the existing treaty, there will be an extremely high risk of both the US and Russia feeling compelled to enter an expensive and potentially catastrophic nuclear arms race. In this special edition of The Russia House with Scott Ritter, I am in downtown Moscow, where I had the pleasure of interviewing Nikolai Starikov, a renowned writer, publicist and politician. Nikolai is the founder and leader of the public organization “Patriots of the Great Fatherland”, and the “Union of Russian Citizens.” Nikolai and I had a fascinating conversation about the role played by historical revisionism in Russian politics, both past and present.
