I built a native Metal renderer for Minecraft, and a shader that takes advantage of it: volumetric fog, dynamic lighting, water reflections and more. It runs at 60fps at full retina resolution on a 5-year-old MacBook. I've always hated how laggy minecraft is with shaders, now it's solved. Shoutout to Opus and Astra!

Demo #2 of native Metal shaders in Minecraft, running at 60+ FPS on my M1 Pro. I think it’s ready for some alpha testers! If you’re on an Apple Silicon Mac and want to try it out, reply here or DM me. The plan is to open source soon after I iron out the basic bugs

It's out! Ciderlight is a Metal-based Minecraft renderer + shader for Mac. On my M1 Pro, It runs 60+ FPS on High setting, and 100+ FPS on Low (which still looks great) It's fully open source. Here's a short trailer. Download: GitHub:

TabTab 2.0 is out now 🫶 It’s faster and more reliable than before, and it’s how window and tab switching should be on Mac. The ability search through all your browser tabs is especially useful. Try it now and save time hunting for those tabs!
