I've tried my hardest to listen to this guy on multiple occasions to see if I could ever make any sense or logic out of his tax stuff, but I still can’t. The way he's been discussing this tax, it's as if he has a percentage of our tax because this is beyond just working for Nigeria. Disturbing part is that, this guy has already proposed deducting money from banks for jobs that they do not provide to the citizens. Why does he have to talk about taxation all the time, as if Nigerians haven't been paying any taxes at all, especially now that we have a very terrible economy and a discouraging business environment that kills businesses at ease? My question is: what has the government done for the citizens, and what exactly is the value of being a Nigerian this time that motivates this government to overtax the population? Jobs❌ Social welfare❌ Security❌ Good economy to grow business❌ Power supply❌ Good roads❌ Water supply❌ Health care❌ Education❌ They want to tax us like citizens of developed nations without governing us like governments of these nations. This is crazy!😳🙄

A mega protest is currently taking place in front of the Ministry of Finance. Indigenous contractors have not received their payments despite the National Assembly's intervention, which authorized the Federal Government to borrow over 1 trillion naira to finance backlogged projects for 2024. This is the first time in the history of Nigeria where indigenous contractors will be facing such dire situation. Nigerians should be aware that since assuming office, this administration has failed to fund 70% of its capital budget. Furthermore, the government has prioritized paying foreign contractors connected to the FG over domestic contractors, amid rumors that local contractors may be sponsored by opposition groups to undermine the ruling party. Some rumours also claimed that the money recently borrowed was fixed by some people for an extended period of time so that they could gain from the interest at the expense of over 5000 indigenous contractors who are battling to survive because some people have decided to maximise profit. The 2023 supplementary capital budget is funded at 65%, 2024 capital budget at 50%, 2024 supplementary capital budget at 40%, and the 2025 capital budget at 0%. It's December, a time when Nigerians should be focussing and debating the 2026 budget presentation, but the country is being kept hostage by some members of this government who believe they have absolute power. This situation cannot go on. Enough is enough. These people are cold-hearted, and this government is wicked. I've never seen anything like it in my life. Hear what a Ministry of Finance director has to say while lying in front of the indigenous contractors that this administration has owned for the past two years. Omo, this country is gone. 💔💔💔💔💔
