Zero improvement.😡 Last week, #citizenscientist Angela Jones recorded the highest pollution levels ever at the Usk sewage treatment works: ❌ Phosphate: 30 - the maximum the reader can measure ❌ Nitrates: 50 - the highest level recorded 👉 Healthy rivers should have phosphate levels of 0.09 - 0.15. Her readings were HUNDREDS of times higher. Despite the £10m investment at the sewage treatment works: ❌ No phosphate stripping technology was installed ➡️ Effluent quality remains unchanged This is why citizen science matters.
