AURORA TIMELAPSE: What was the most frustrating aurora hunt turned into one of the best. Red and pinks turned to blue higher in the sky as the sun illuminated them; you can see the blue line fall as dawn approached and traffic on the road to the lower right picked up as people headed to work, many oblivious to the dancing sky above them. -- January 20, 2025 4:15 AM - 6:05 AM ET (0915-1105 UTC) Rollinsford, New Hampshire

Supermoon Timelapse: The super "Cold Moon" rises behind the Nubble Lighthouse, and it actually did look larger than usual, partly because I was slightly further away than other moonrises here (2.3 miles), and it being a supermoon. Usually I don't notice a size difference. -- December 5, 2025 York Beach, Maine

My camera was shooting still images at 30 frames per second, so I put them all together into a video of the snowy owl's flight. I used Final Cut Pro to slow the video to 25% using machine learning analysis to smooth the movement. It actually came out pretty well.

AURORA TIMELAPSE. Dancing purple and blue pillars, a train of satellites (Starlink?), and a patch of fog moving around the field in front of me as cars pass by on the road to the right. -- June 3, 2025 1:25 AM - 2:06 AM ET 0525-0606 UTC Rollinsford, New Hampshire Dr. Tamitha Skov
