Because I knew immediately that this would make zero difference in the environment (there is still plastic everywhere in the same grocery store that won't allow you to use it as a bag.) The ban makes a huge difference to moms and shoppers without cars or who take public transport. Everything California Democratic Party meddles in makes daily life harder. Everything.
