Ladies were served Lunch first during a wedding today in our areas. Otherwise there is a trend to serve food to Gents first especially in Srinagar, Ganderbal, Budgam, Pulwama which many feel is not good. But some say due to logistical reasons Gents are served food first . There are some areas where women are served lunch first - can you name those areas in comment box ? What is your opinion this ? Left Over Food during Weddings should be cleared safely, carried along by guests in separate bags- Let us reduce waste , start home composting of Food Waste, Garden Waste, Kitchen Waste etc- Govt alone can't address this issue. Such Govt officials should be rewarded. I appreciate Asst Engineer PHE Div Chadoora Shahid Manzoor for leading this team in a massive snow bound area of upper Yusmarg side for two days and restoring drinking water supply in two dozen villages of Chadoora sub division. Casual Employees of PHE Deptt who are paid mere Rs 9000 PM play a great role.
