I help golfers shoot lower scores & improve their golf swing by helping you understand your issues & provide proper practice techniques to improve 👊🏼

I came across this clip of Carlos Alcaraz doing this simple but effective drill to help with his ball toss when serving It immediately made me think about how these amazing players in ANY sport don't skip the basics I see it everyday with golf, the recreational golfer isn't willing to do the smallest, most basic things in order to help themselves acheive their goals They say they want one thing but their actions don't show they will achieve it Golfers always want to hit driver as hard as they can, they skip the importance of setting up to the ball correctly, they don't like changing their terrible grip because it "feels weird" Yet the best tennis player on the planet is working on his ball toss in order to ensure he can serve the ball to the best of his abilities It's these 1% efforts that can help you achieve exactly what you want. Don't skip them & when a coach asks you to do them, there's a reason we want you to listen and do them. They are important

The low launching HIGH SPINNING wedge shot is one of the most sought after shots in golf. It's also REALLY important to have in your game Do you want to know how to hit it? This thread will show you EVERYTHING you need to know 🧵👇

Matt Fitzpatrick smiling and congratulating Cam Young on the 18th after making bogey is pure class What a great human. Not sour, just accepting he went down to a better player today Great stuff to see Matt Fitzpatrick

Here we go…. The divot discussion is back at yet another Major 😂 The hard thing is determining if this is actually a divot… how do we know? 🤭😉

So many players hitting a low stinger cut up the first at The Open Why? They are trying to get the ball on the ground as quickly as possible. Keeping the ball low means the ball won’t have enough air time to go OOB which is on both sides of the 1st hole It’s a amazing that the best golfers on the planet still revert to a second serve when they NEED to get that thing in play Cool shot here 🐝

I’ve said this MANY times… Learn to hit your highest lofted club LOW… Here’s a fairly low/mid trajectory shot from 39y to a front flag… Why not use a “7 iron or 9 iron” and hit a bump and run? Because the ball speed would be too fast and there would be VERY LITTLE backspin to stop the ball A low 60deg wedge from 39y landing short, bouncing once, twice, then spinning is far easier to CONTROL your golf ball because you know exactly what it’s going to do Unbelievable shot here that most people wouldn’t look twice at. Amazing shot by Sam Burns

9 second Ludvig pre shot routine 🙂 That's not what I want this post to be about though... What I want you to be aware of is... He is THINKING about his swing while playing on the golf course, in a tournament You can see him make a little takeaway rehearsal just before he hits. To me, It looks as if he is working on keeping the club head more in front of the hands as he takes the club away Either that or he's making sure the face is staying square during the takeaway. Maybe both I hear golfers say that they shouldn't have swing thoughts on the course. I disagree. You can absolutely play with a swing though. You just can't play with 7 of them Ludvig proving swing thoughts are fine when playing 🙂

The timeless swing of Adam Scott... He's not excessively "shallow", he's not steep, he doesn't have an inside or outside takeaway, he just swings it so damn neutral I say this "jokingly", but Adam Scott may be partly responsible for golf instructors (like myself) when looking at swings we always look at base certain "positions" off this guy here Let's be honest, the bloke is a stud & swings it as good as anyone. Aging like a fine wine 👊

Jon Rahm has hit so many double crosses this week It’s the risk you take when you always aim left for a cut. If you hit it straight or close the face a little, bye bye

Golfers are strange 😂 When playing a Ryder Cup, the crowd is going ballistic and the players love it and hit the ball with all that noise going on But a robot moving a few inches WHILE you are looking down at the ball and it’s “in the way” 😂 Focus on your shot and ignore the robot

Tommy could be forgiven for not working hard on his game considering he won the FedEx Cup & hit it AMAZING at the Ryder Cup But what makes these guys SO GOOD is no matter how they play (good or bad), they stick to their drills literally every range session They always have their 1-2 things that they work on and maintain The recreational golfer continues to chase the next best drill instead of doing what they have been told to do for a long enough period of time Golfers want to be “more consistent”… For that to happen, you need to display consistency in your training

Do your divots point left of your target all the time? If so... they SHOULD! Have a look at this shot from Shane Lowry at the Ryder Cup. My green arrow is the target & my red arrows are where his divot is pointing. This is perfectly normal If your divots point at the target or right of your target, it means your swing path could be excessively in to out which can produce blocks & hooks Now obviously an excessive out to in path could produce a divot that is excessively left of target for sure, but for a fairly straight shot, it's perfectly normal for your divot to point slightly left of target
