Luigi Mangione apparently read one of the late John Sarno’s books on back pain and mind-body connection. But he still reportedly got major back surgery. This may be strange since Sarno believed that most back pain was not caused by spinal abnormalities but by repressed rage. One of the people Sarno helped was former senator Tom Harkin.
