We have fewer Veterans Affairs employees than last year, and the department is delivering better care and better services. How? We put the right people in the right places to provide the services Veterans need.

New Hampshire is the only state in the contiguous United States without a full-service Veterans Affairs medical center. In response to President Trump’s executive order, we are developing a plan to ensure that is no longer the case.

Today, we render a sharp salute to Americans held as prisoners of war and those who’ve yet to make it home from battle.

We found nearly $2 billion in Veterans Affairs contracts that we’ll be canceling so we can redirect the funds back to Veterans health care and benefits. No more paying consultants to do things like make Power Point slides and write meeting minutes!

Today we honored the names etched into the Vietnam Veterans Memorial through the humble act of washing the wall. It’s our way of saying welcome home and remembering their sacrifice. It’s also a reminder to those in the future, that if you don’t step up as well, this freedom we have, is not there.

Today we honor our Gold Star Mothers and Families, whose Veterans gave everything in service to our nation. We remember their sacrifice by standing alongside the families they left behind and promising never to forget.

Rural Veterans shouldn’t have to settle for less just because of where they live. Yesterday I joined my friend Rep. Derrick Van Orden in Wisconsin Rapids to hear directly from Veterans about the biggest issues facing their communities.

Veterans deserve a seamless transition from @DeptofDefense to Veterans Affairs. I met with @SecDef last week to sign a new agreement to improve the transition process for separating servicemembers and increase collaboration between our departments.

This morning, we announced Veterans Affairs has processed more than two million disability claims - faster than ever before. We're reducing our disability backlog and getting Veterans the answers they deserve quicker.

Yesterday, Secretary Kennedy and I signed a memorandum of understanding to explore whether psychedelic drugs might play a role in saving the lives of Veterans and others with serious mental illness. Proud to work for an administration that puts Veterans FIRST. 🇺🇸

We don’t give Veterans anything. They’ve earned every benefit, every service, every salute.

If you are a Veteran and you are struggling - hear me clearly. You are not taking help from someone else. Your buddy is covered and so are you. No one gets left behind. Not in uniform. Not after.

President Trump gave me one mission – take care of Veterans. I’m doing just that. From reducing the disability backlog to opening 33 new clinics to creating a National Center for Warrior Independence in LA for our homeless Veterans, we’re making sure our Veterans are getting the care and benefits they have earned.

Veterans deserve better than 70-year old facilities. That’s why we're modernizing Veterans Affairs facilities with upgraded operating rooms, more patient capacity, and safer, more reliable infrastructure to improve the Veteran experience.

17 Veterans per day is 17 too many. Who do you know who could use a call? Who do you know who could benefit from VA services? If you’re a Veteran in crisis or concerned about one, contact the Veterans Crisis Line to receive 24/7 confidential support. To reach responders, Dial 988 then Press 1, chat online at or text 838255.
