This is ridiculous… I made the Jim Rome Show for this 🤣 I’ve had 24 hours to reconsider my Mike Tomlin take. Unfortunately, I’ve gotten worse. If the estimates are right, we’re talking FIVE HOURS A DAY playing Minecraft for 12 YEARS while collecting roughly $120 MILLION to coach the Pittsburgh Steelers. I’m sorry, that’s a horrible look. Two Super Bowl appearances early in his tenure. Then zero playoff wins in his final nine seasons. But the virtual real estate portfolio? Thriving. Yes, everyone is entitled to hobbies and free time. And when you’re paid extraordinary money to compete at the very top of your profession, people are entitled to extraordinary expectations. If I’m an owner writing those checks or a diehard fan spending my money and Sundays on this team, I want a coach who’s ALL IN like Saban, Belichek or Cignetti. If that isn’t you, let’s find someone who is. Give me the guy whose obsession is figuring out how to beat the other team. That’s the expectation. A guy I know applied for a part time role in the Indiana Jones show at Disney on a whim. No acting or stunt background. Just the right size. Thought it would be fun. He didn’t tell his kids.
