The Somali military has released drone footage showing Al-Shabaab fighters fleeing from areas on the outskirts of Bariire district in the Lower Shabelle region. The operation was carried out by the Gorgor Special Forces, which were trained by Turkiye. The footage shows militants withdrawing from their positions as government forces continue security operations in the area. This is the Turkish Commando Training School in Isparta. Hundreds of members of an elite Somali commando unit have graduated from a training program in Türkiye under a bilateral agreement aimed at strengthening the Somali Armed Forces.
