This clip is going around with subtitles in different languages. The guy claims he just turned 23 and doesn’t want to die at the front. I found a higher-quality version on TikTok. Couple of notes: ➜ Ukraine doesn’t draft 22–23-year-olds. At that age you only end up in the Ukrainian Defence Forces if you sign up yourself. ➜ Running a basic face-recognition check brings up exactly one match. He uses the handle Kussia88 across platforms, and his real name is Vladimir Yuryevich Ivanov (Иванов Владимир Юрьевич), born April 7, 2003, from St. Petersburg. Search the hashtag #ban_kussia88 if you want to verify. Do you want to take a wild guess at what 88 in his handle means?

Russians are actively settling in Mariupol. Although during the Stalinist era, Mariupol was settled by people from central Russia, the current ethnic makeup is surprising because many of the new settlers hardly speak Russian. Currently, there are over 40,000 of them, which accounts for more than half of Mariupol's population of 80,000. According to Petro Andriushchenko, an advisor to the mayor of Mariupol, the apartments and houses are being prepared for these new settlers through the "abandoned property" procedure.

Three lies in twenty seconds. Classic Trump world. 1. Trump didn’t “give” Ukraine Javelins. Ukraine paid for them in full. Full stop. 2. Those Javelins couldn’t hit a single Russian tank because the Trump administration forced Ukraine to store them in the west of the country, nowhere near the front. That was the condition of the sale. 3. And no, Biden didn’t hand Ukraine 350 billion. The actual support is under 100 billion in aid, which is still about 100 billion more than Trump ever backed. Trump’s Ukraine policy amounted to exactly zero.

Ratko Mladić lived far longer than thousands of his victims ever had the chance to, and far longer than he deserved. And now Serbia’s government is preparing to accord him full military and state honours at his burial. Let that sink in. A man who died while serving a life sentence for genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes is apparently considered worthy of state honour. This is not patriotism. It is moral rot. Mladić commanded the Bosnian Serb Army during some of the darkest crimes committed in Europe since the Second World War. In Srebrenica, more than 8,000 Bosniak men and boys were systematically murdered after his forces overran the UN-declared safe area, while around 25,000 women, children and elderly people were forcibly expelled. Mladić was convicted of genocide for his role. In Sarajevo, his forces subjected civilians to years of shelling and sniper terror. People were shot while crossing streets, fetching water, standing in queues, trying to feed their families or simply trying to stay alive. He was convicted of murder, terror and unlawful attacks on civilians, as well as persecution, extermination, deportation, forced transfer and hostage-taking. These are judicially established crimes. And now Serbia’s Justice Minister says Mladić should receive military and state honours at his burial. There is something profoundly fucking nauseating about a state taking a convicted genocidaire and wrapping his coffin in national honour, as if the mass graves were merely an inconvenient footnote to his biography. And if you want to understand exactly what kind of legacy is being honoured, watch the video below. The man in it is Ramo Osmanović. On 13 July 1995, two days after Srebrenica fell, thousands of Bosniak men and boys were trying to escape through the forests toward Bosnian government-held territory. Ramo had already been captured. His 18-year-old son, Nermin, was still hiding in the woods. Bosnian Serb forces forced Ramo to call out to him and persuade him to surrender. Imagine being a prisoner surrounded by armed men, knowing your child is somewhere in the forest, and being forced to use the one thing your son trusts more than anything else, your own voice, to bring him out. “Nermine, dođi!” “Nermin, come!” Nermin heard his father and came down. Ramo and Nermin Osmanović were subsequently murdered by Mladić’s forces and buried in mass graves alongside thousands of other men and boys. Their remains were later recovered and identified. The footage itself was eventually shown during the proceedings against Ratko Mladić. That is why the image of Ramo, hands around his mouth, desperately calling “Nermine, dođi!”, became one of the defining images of Srebrenica. A captured father forced to call his son out of hiding with assurances of safety. A son trusting his father’s voice. Both of them murdered. More than three decades later, the commander of the forces responsible is being prepared for burial with military and state honours. You cannot seriously talk about reconciliation, European values or confronting the past while glorifying a man convicted of genocide. You cannot turn a genocidaire into a national symbol and then pretend that the victims matter too. The victims deserved honour. Ratko Mladić deserved his conviction, his life sentence and the historical disgrace attached to his name. Anything beyond that is glorification of a genocidaire, and it is absolutely fucking nauseating.

Sheriff Chris Swanson, the elected Sheriff of Genesee County, Michigan, is a career law-enforcement officer, not a pundit. He became nationally known in 2020 for prioritizing de-escalation during protests. What he says about the Minneapolis shooting directly exposes how bad MAGA-era policing policies fail. Swanson calls the shooting tragic but predictable. Masked federal agents in unmarked vehicles confronted a 37-year-old woman, gave unclear commands, and then fired three shots as her car was backing up and turning away. The agent who fired was not hit, not run over, and not in the vehicle’s path. Two shots were fired as the car was already driving away. That is not lawful deadly force. That is bad policy producing bad outcomes. Swanson is blunt about the force continuum. You do not shoot people who are fleeing. You do not shoot when you are not in danger. “Tough on crime” slogans do not override use-of-force standards, no matter how loudly MAGA politicians repeat them. What follows is worse. After the woman was shot and crashed, Swanson saw no attempt at life-saving aid. No urgency. No trauma response. He contrasts this with his own deputies, who once returned fire on a suspect who had already killed two people, then immediately tried to save his life anyway. That is professional policing. What happened in Minneapolis was not. He also points to missing body cams and officers leaving the scene instead of securing it for investigation. These are not accidents. They are the results of policies that reward aggression and optics over training and accountability. Swanson makes one thing clear. Calling this out is not anti-police. Blind loyalty is what damages law enforcement. Accountability is what protects it.

Fuck you, you fucking monster. Trump compares Russia’s genocidal war in Ukraine, with mass rapes, torture chambers, and children abducted, to two kids fighting in a park. Like it’s some fucking schoolyard brawl. No, you sociopathic freak. This isn’t about “bad blood.” It’s about a nuclear-armed dictatorship invading a sovereign country, executing civilians, flattening hospitals, and deporting children. This isn’t hockey, you orange dipshit. It’s Nuremberg-level evil. And let me put this into terms you’d understand if it were your fucking family. A well-built grown man walks up to one of your daughters, “grabs her by the pussy”. Would you stand back, smirk, and say, “Well, sometimes you gotta let ‘em fight it out for a bit”? No, you wouldn’t, you fucking coward piece of shit, but you would do that to others. But when it’s Ukraine being gang-raped by Russia, you say “maybe they have to suffer more.” That’s not neutrality. That’s complicity. And it gets even more disgusting. This is the same bloodthirsty coward who loosened every accountability measure on drone strikes, eliminated civilian casualty reporting, and turned targeted killings into a video game. Under your watch, the United States carried out airstrikes with no oversight, no transparency, and in some cases, killed more civilians than ISIS in certain regions. You want to play tough guy and call yourself a “peace president”? You hid the body count, scrapped reporting rules, and let the bombs fall blindly on children in Afghanistan, Somalia, and Yemen. Then you have the gall to call yourself a negotiator? You’re not a negotiator. You’re not a patriot. You’re not a protector of anything except your own rotting ego. You’re a bully, a war criminal enabler, and a fucking coward who thinks foreign war crimes are a bar fight. When history judges you, and it will, this quote alone should be carved into your legacy: “Maybe they have to suffer more before we pull them apart.” You didn’t stop the bleeding. You watched it. You excused it. And you called it strategy. You disgrace the very concept of peace. You don’t want peace. You want dominance, without accountability, without empathy, and with absolute power. Rot in hell.

Like I said yesterday. Ex-FBI agent Stu Kaplan stated that ICE agents are bound by Customs and Border Protection use-of-force policy, which explicitly prohibits placing oneself in front of or behind a moving vehicle, except during limited inspection scenarios. He said this policy exists precisely because people may flee during stops. He argued the agent violated that policy by stepping into the vehicle’s path, thereby manufacturing an exigent circumstance. In Kaplan’s view, the danger was created by the officer’s own actions, not by an intentional attack by the driver. Kaplan emphasized that flight is foreseeable and legally anticipated behavior during law-enforcement encounters. Courts, including the Supreme Court, have recognized that officers must plan for the possibility of flight rather than positioning themselves in a way that turns flight into a deadly-force scenario. He noted that the video shows the driver attempting to turn away, not drive toward the agent, and that the agent began drawing his weapon immediately as the car moved, despite having placed himself in harm’s way. Absent evidence that the woman posed an immediate violent threat such as a prior violent felony or an attempt to use the car as a weapon, Kaplan said deadly force was not justified to stop a fleeing suspect for what appeared to be, at most, misdemeanor conduct. His conclusion was that, despite being strongly pro-law-enforcement, this incident may constitute a “bad shoot” because the officer violated policy and then relied on a danger he helped create to justify lethal force.
