The way he just moves on to talking about legal jargon is why nobody else comes close to his timing. Norm: You don't have a child. Jerry: Pardon me? Norm: You don't have a child. Norm Macdonald returning to host SNL and immediately roasting the network right to their face after they fired him is iconic. Norm Macdonald: So I wondered, I go, "Hey, wait a second here. How did I go, in a year and a half, from being not funny enough to be even allowed in the building to being so funny that I'm now hosting the show? How did I suddenly get so damn funny?" Norm Macdonald: It was inexplicable to me, 'cause a year and a half, let's face it, is not enough time for a dude to learn how to be funny. Then it occurred to me. I haven't gotten funnier. The show has gotten really bad. I would simply pass away from the sheer audacity of walking back onto that stage.

It turns out the creator of the show thinks the answer is simpler than everyone expected. Vince: I think it was a mistake pure and simple. Interviewer: I think it was arrogance or I think he wanted to get caught. Vince: I wouldn't argue that. Maybe it is because you guys own this as much as we do now. Even the guy who wrote the show is willing to admit it is open to interpretation.

I would pay any amount of money to watch Don Rickles roast Joe Pesci on a film set. P!nk talking about completely panicking and accidentally rambling to Johnny Depp after being forced to meet him is too relatable. I would literally crawl under a table and hide if I had to talk to someone I had a crush on like that. Pink: I went up to him and I was like hey I saw Alice I'm going to be writing a song.
