A man was killed on a downtown Vancouver Starbucks patio after a confrontation over public drug use. He was there with his partner and their three-year-old child. The accused has now been convicted of manslaughter, not murder. That outcome will leave many British Columbians furious. A family went out for coffee and a father was killed in front of his partner and their young child. How did our streets get to the point where even a patio is not safe? This government spent years weakening enforcement, normalizing open drug use, and failing to deliver a justice system that actually protects the public. They talked about public safety while disorder spread into the most ordinary places. A coffee shop. A family outing. A child sitting there when a man was killed. The NDP’s soft-on-crime agenda has failed. British Columbians should not have to live like this.

BC’s NDP-accountable regulator cautioned a realtor for political speech. Corbin Chivers posted about land claims and the closure of Joffre Lakes, a public park, to anyone outside two First Nations. One line mentioned in this post included: “Wrong skin color? Stay out. This isn’t reconciliation. This is racist segregation with better marketing.” This post didn’t even talk about a real estate listing or a real estate client. It was just talking about public policy. BCFSA still warned him the comments were polarizing, inflammatory, and discriminatory, and could bring the industry into disrepute. BCFSA is a Crown agency that reports to the Finance Minister. The NDP ended real-estate self-regulation and put licences under government in 2021. You do not surrender free speech when you get a licence. This is happening while political speech is already being squeezed: Recently police in Surrey showed up at someone’s door over online posts, and B.C.’s Attorney General is pushing a Criminal Code “denialism” offence while staying vague about what words would become a crime. That is how debate gets chilled without a ban.

Tourists visiting Vancouver are shocked. They come from normal cities without radical pro-drug experiments, and they are shocked and appalled by what they see on our streets here. The NDP have turned Vancouver, the most beautiful city in the world, into a national embarrassment. Tourists are openly sharing their disappointment after witnessing open drug use, street disorder, and feeling unsafe in areas that should showcase the best of British Columbia. This is gross incompetence on full display. Under the NDP, everything related to public safety is suffering. We need real solutions now. Expanded compassionate involuntary care for those trapped in addiction and severe mental health crises. A justice system that actually holds offenders accountable. And strong, well-supported police forces empowered to restore order. We need to clean up this NDP-created mess and make our cities safe.

Attorney General Niki Sharma is pushing to criminalize so-called “residential school denialism,” but she will not define what that actually means. When asked basic questions about what speech would become a crime, she talked about “finding a balance” and refused to draw a clear line. If the Attorney General cannot define the offence, she has no business asking Canadians to accept jail time for speech. There is a difference between inciting hatred or violence and debating historical claims. The first is already illegal. The second is protected debate. Blurring that line threatens Charter rights, journalism, and open inquiry. Civil liberties groups have warned that this kind of vague law would chill legitimate discussion and risk putting people in prison over comments and posts. The NDP should specify exactly which changes to the Criminal Code they have been lobbying Ottawa to make. Free expression is the foundation of a free society. The NDP’s approach is reckless, and British Columbians deserve better than an Attorney General who will not define the crime she wants created.

Another NDP attempt to DEFLECT BLAME: David Eby is blaming the court for his government failing to argue EXTINGUISHMENT in the Cowichan tribes case. I’m sorry Premier, YOU implemented that strategic directive in 2019 as Attorney General. Thanks to YOU, Richmond residents face an emergency as to whether they still own their homes. This case will set a precedent for many homes across BC and Canada. WHOSE HOME IS NEXT?

SHOCKING: NDP MLA Stephanie Higginson says she won’t support the Drug Use Prevention Education in Schools Act because she finds “explicitly discouraging drug use” to be “deeply concerning”. I find it deeply concerning that this government can’t put their radical ideology aside for a single second to protect BC school kids from life-destroying drugs.

The NDP just shut down the B.C. Government Directory, a basic public resource that has existed since the 1930s. For decades, British Columbians could see the size of the bureaucracy and how their government was structured. That transparency is now gone. At the exact moment the NDP is running record deficits and ballooning the public payroll, they have decided to hide the details from the people who pay the bills. Their cybersecurity and privacy excuse is weak. Other governments protect personal information without blacking out the entire structure of the public service. This is not about security. It is about reducing scrutiny. A government that spends this recklessly and piles on debt this quickly has no right to operate in greater secrecy. The NDP is deliberately closing the public’s window into government when accountability is needed most. This is an attack on basic transparency, and it is unacceptable.

🚨 BREAKING: LAWYERS are now being TARGETED in BC’s EXTORTION crisis. The NDP has completely lost control of public safety. I’m demanding EXTORTION be UPGRADED to a TERRORISM OFFENCE. It’s time we treat these FOREIGN THUGS like the terrorists they are. My press release 👇

An elderly woman attacked for her jewelry in broad daylight. The NDP calls this a “complex social issue.” I call it criminal violence. As Premier, I will lock up repeat offenders and restore real consequences. Public safety isn’t optional. I will restore law, restore consequences, and restore confidence in British Columbia. #bcpoli

Frightening scenarios like this rundown SRO on Granville Street are exactly why so many neighbourhoods across British Columbia are protesting the NDP’s so-called “supportive housing.” Despite the comforting name, these facilities too often lack real treatment, remain far from drug-free, and end up concentrating chaos, crime, and human suffering in our communities. The NDP continues to push this ideological model while ignoring the evidence and the voices of residents who have to live with the consequences. It is time for real solutions that actually support recovery and public safety, not more taxpayer-funded failures that make the problem worse.

David Eby and the NDP are feeling the anger from British Columbians over this government’s absolute disregard for property rights. Many of my constituents were thrown under the bus by the NDP decision not to argue extinguishment. David Eby is now in damage control mode, secretly sending a high-paid political staffer to engage with my constituents behind my back. The NDP secrecy and backroom deals must stop. Homeowners deserve respect, transparency and guaranteed property rights.

BREAKING: Realtors fear becoming extortion targets for their success in BC. Recently a Realtor reached out to me to share that a realty brokerage postponed its awards gala because realtors feared becoming targets for their success. I’ve been sounding the alarm for months: this extortion crisis is not just a public safety failure — it’s an economic threat. When businesses are too afraid to celebrate success, promote themselves, or grow, jobs, investment, and livelihoods are at risk. Now we are seeing victims having to defend themselves and their livelihoods, families, and businesses. Why has the NDP government failed to support victims and their businesses?

David Eby tried to dismiss Pierre Poilievre’s visit to Richmond as just a YouTube clip. That’s the kind of arrogance British Columbians have come to expect from this NDP government. Pierre was in Richmond announcing a real plan to protect private property rights and that’s something homeowners are deeply concerned about. Instead of listening, the NDP mocks British Columbians and calls their concerns “fear-mongering” simply because Conservatives are standing up with solutions. Private property rights are fundamental. They must be protected at the highest level. It’s time this provincial government started governing for all British Columbians.

Quality of life has worsened, say 56% of the residents surveyed in this Kelowna neighbourhood. While the NDP has gone numb to open drug usage, communities are feeling terrorized by public safety risks fueled by the drug crisis. Residents are finding meth pipes on their lawns, dealing with theft, break-ins, public defecation, and threats right outside their homes. This is not some abstract problem. It is the direct result of the NDP’s failed soft-on-crime and harm reduction experiments that have let chaos spread into family neighbourhoods. The NDP’s gross incompetence has turned once stable communities into places where people feel unsafe in their own yards. They keep doubling down on failed policies while ordinary British Columbians pay the price in fear and declining quality of life. Enough is enough. We need a government that actually enforces the law and restores safety instead of making excuses for the drug crisis it helped create.

A woman loses her leg in a serious car accident and under the NDP’s so-called “Enhanced Care” system, it’s still not considered a catastrophic injury. Think about that. This is what happens when government strips away the right to fair compensation and replaces it with bureaucracy and limits. British Columbians were promised better care. Instead, they got fewer rights and less accountability. If losing a limb isn’t catastrophic, what is? 📷CKPGToday
