Steve Sarkisian and his wife, Loreal, taking it all in after Texas’ win over No. 1 Ohio State. Real human stuff here. The game means a lot to him and you can tell.

Nick Saban: “They always tell me how hard I was to work for. We never had a meeting at 6:45 (a.m.) in the middle of the draft, OK? C’mon.” Marcus Freeman: “We got class. We got to go to class. I got to get them out of there so they can go to class.” The Notre Dame difference.

Little not so friendly sendoff from Notre Dame to USC. Former Fighting Irish safety Kennedy Urlacher was in the midst of this for a bit. He transferred away from ND to stand on the losing sideline in the pouring rain tonight. At least he might not have to face ND ever again.

This was plain as day to anyone in the stadium. Arch Manning missed a wide-open Cam Coleman for what would have been a walk-in touchdown assuming he’d have laid it out there for him. (via Brent Rollins)

Is there a coach in the country who’s got the cover your mouth so the cameras can’t catch what you’re saying move down better than Notre Dame’s Marcus Freeman? Veteran stuff. Gotta remain an upright example for the kids.

"the Irish only beat the Panthers by 22" Pitt called a timeout with 5 seconds left to score this meaningless touchdown vs. ND backups. Pitt's other TD was a pick six. Notre Dame's defense didn't give up a score that mattered. So, yeah. Be careful how you interpret box scores.

Notre Dame freshman wide receiver Elijah Burress doing what he should do against a walk-on — absolutely roasting him to the end zone, plus a penalty. Burress is just so smooth with it for a first-year wideout. It comes naturally to him. He's got a chance to crack the rotation.

Niele Ivey has been working the refs all afternoon. The Notre Dame head coach is trying to get clarity on some calls here during a timeout. Feels like UConn is getting away with quite a bit, does it not?

The way Notre Dame redshirt freshman offensive lineman Will Black moves at 6-7, 316 is freaky. Good depth, lotta leg drive, natural power he’s only just now beginning to totally tap into. The potential he posses to be a multi-year starter and much more is immense.

Considering time and score and how wide open Cam Coleman was, this has to be the worst throw of Arch Manning's Texas career. Just a total backbreaker.

Vince Young might have the most nonchalant national championship-winning touchdown celebration of all time. That was intentional. “I tried my best not to throw the ball in the stands, but you got Coach Brown in your ear like, ‘Don’t throw the ball. Don’t spike it. Don’t be dancing. Act like you’ve been there.’” To this day I wonder if he stunned himself the way he stunned the rest of the college football world in that moment. The capping of the most mesmerizing national title game that’s ever been played. (via Netflix)
