What's hilarious - the conference has ZERO to do with worth or ranking. Seriously. Of the teams in the playoffs - only what, 4 won their conference? Outside of the conf championship, it provides nothing. Given that most participants aren't conf championship winners - who cares if ND is? Miami didn't even play in their conf championship game.

Auto bids are the problem. No one should get one. Period. Take the 12 best teams, end of story. If the Big 12 champion or whoever it is, isn’t better than the second or third best team from another conference, all well, schedule better.
