Chaired a review meeting today on the pending issues regarding the reorganisation of police stations across Hyderabad, Cyberabad, Malkajgiri and Future City Commissionerates. Directed that jurisdictional restructuring be carried out strictly as per Government Orders, factoring in municipal, revenue and court boundaries. Emphasised long-term planning, urban expansion, population growth and future administrative needs must guide these decisions, along with stakeholder consultation. Chaired a comprehensive review of the Telangana Special Battalions at Headquarters in Jubilee Hills today. Inspected the administrative wings, communication systems, armoury and infrastructure works before reviewing key presentations from senior officers. Our Special Battalions have always stood shoulder-to-shoulder with Civil Police from the anti-Naxal era to recent rescue efforts during the Nizamabad and Kamareddy floods. That legacy of courage continues to inspire me. Issued directions to: Expedite filling of vacant posts. Strengthen technological capabilities & vehicle availability. Improve residential quarters, drinking water & healthcare facilities. Ensure transparent, fair duty allocation. Strengthen 'Mitra' Counselling Centres for personnel facing stress. Run awareness drives against drug abuse and online betting, with a counselling-first approach. Build a strategy for suicide prevention through early intervention and support. Also reviewed proposals for new Special Battalions in Future City and Amangal for future readiness. Our personnel are the backbone of this force. Their welfare and training will always remain a top priority as we move forward with modernisation and technology-driven policing. #TelanganaPolice

Today, on the occasion of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking - 2026, I had the honour of inaugurating the Anti-Drug Awareness Week organised by the Hyderabad Police Commissionerate at the ICCC, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. The fight against drugs is not just a police priority it is a societal responsibility. I want to be very clear, the deadline is now. I have asked every officer, from Home Guard level to DGP, to remain committed to this fight so that our own children do not fall prey to it. What was once a transit point for drug trafficking has now become a consumption zone. Post-COVID, drug consumption has risen in both urban and rural areas. Our children are being targeted traffickers are going as far as mixing narcotics in chocolates and biscuits to hook young minds. This is nothing short of an anti-national activity. This is more dangerous than terrorism or Naxalism today and we must treat it with the same urgency. If there is no demand, there will be no supply. Reducing demand is our collective responsibility. I took an oath today along with my officers and the students present eradicating drugs is our priority, and EAGLE Force is in full action. We are working in close coordination with the School Education Department, DRI, Enforcement Directorate, and Customs to tackle this at every level. The Education Department has been asked to establish Anti-Drug Safety Clubs in every educational institution. Schools that fail to comply will risk losing their recognition. I urge every parent to monitor their children closely, and appeal to families and society to help rehabilitate addicts through de-addiction centres. Keeping our youth away from drugs is the foundation for a golden future of our nation. Today, I conducted a comprehensive review of the Police Officers' Mess, Masab Tank one of our most cherished welfare institutions, serving the police fraternity for over 65 years. Spread across 2.01 acres, the Mess is more than just a residential facility. It is a space that nurtures bonding, discipline, and esprit de corps among officers. During the inspection, I reviewed the rooms, function halls, gymnasium, swimming pool, kitchen, and areas currently under construction and issued clear directives for modernisation and upkeep. - Unused rooms to be repurposed as meeting rooms - Finishing, fixtures, and presentation to be prioritised - Parking area to be expanded and organised - Every corner to be transformed into a well-maintained, presentable space - An HRNS mechanism to be established for regular monitoring and maintenance With focused attention and consistent upkeep, the Police Officers' Mess holds the potential to become a premier institutional landmark one that every officer takes pride in. Our people deserve the best. And we will deliver nothing less. Today, we reviewed the roadmap for integrating Artificial Intelligence and advanced technologies into Telangana Police systems to enhance crime investigation, law & order management, and service delivery. A dedicated Tech Team is now being established in the DGP’s Office to ensure continuity, faster execution, and effective implementation of AI-driven policing initiatives. We are also working towards integrating major platforms including CCTNS, HRMS, Hawkeye, and other systems under a unified framework. Our focus is clear, technology must deliver practical outcomes at the field level and strengthen policing for the people of Telangana. Today marks a significant step towards peace and rehabilitation. Two senior CPI (Maoist) leaders, Shri Pasunoori Narahari @ Vishwanath @ Salai Da (CCM & BJSAC Secretary) and Smt. Medara Danamma @ Latha @ Joba (SCM) have chosen to leave the path of violence and join the mainstream before Telangana Police. Their decision reflects the growing trust in the Telangana Government’s rehabilitation policy and our continued commitment towards restoring lives with dignity, security, and opportunity. I once again appeal to the remaining underground cadres to shun violence, surrender, and become part of the democratic mainstream.
