Another disturbing act in Ludhiana: Vikram Anand was caught on CCTV placing a Pakistani flag at a Hanuman temple and fleeing the scene. Temple authorities confirmed they discovered the act only after reviewing footage, calling it a clear attempt to disrupt communal harmony in Punjab. This isn’t the first time. There have been multiple incidents where RW radicals themselves were caught vandalizing temples, only to pin the blame on Sikhs and stoke communal hatred.

A very shocking incident has come to our attention from Garhshankar. Organizers of a religious function cast two dancers as Sikh characters in a very insulting fashion. Both characters were dressed like Sikh children with fake mustaches and beards. This is a mockery of Sikhs and is very insulting in nature. We urge PS Garhshankar Hoshiarpur, Hoshiarpur Police, SD Garhshankar Hoshiarpur, Komal Mittal IAS, DC Hoshiarpur, DPRO HOSHIARPUR, Punjab Police India, DGP Punjab Police to look into this matter ASAP so that the culprits who made a mockery of Sikh appearance can be apprehended. This video was live-broadcasted by Facebook user Kapil Malhotra, and his profile has been attached to this tweet. No matter how much disinformation and hate the right-wing radicals spread against Gurdwaras, the Hindu community regularly visits Gurdwaras without any fear, and their religious symbols/attire are well respected. The only request the Sikh community is making is not to treat Gurdwaras as picnic or tourist spots, and to respect the decorum of the place.

If vilification & character assassination of Sikhs with low grade comic characters was not enough, bollywood has now started insulting Sikh sentiments. Kirpan which is an integral part of Khalsa, is among Sikh's five articles of faith, and limited to a Khalsa only. In this movie Kirpan has been used as a tool & prop and a clean-shaven actor is wearing it. Its an act of blasphemy which has deeply hurt sentiments of Sikhs.
