Thoroughly indoctrinated in the love of Corps and Country. Lead, follow, or get the hell out of the way. Views are my own and do not reflect those of the DoW.

When someone says, “We do too much for the military,” show them this. SSgt. Michael Swinton, 30, making his final journey home after paying the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. He didn’t come home the way his family prayed. We can never repay a debt like this.🙏🏼

Iwo Jima veterans Billy Byrd (100) and Don Graves (101) flew to Washington, D.C., where they will serve as Honorary Grand Marshals for the National Memorial Day Parade. 🇺🇸 The first thing they did when they saw each other? Started talking trash. Some things never change. 🤣

🚨 Today, Marine One carried both the President of the United States and the Prime Minister of Japan — a rare and historic flight from Tokyo to the USS George Washington. As a commander in Japan, I couldn’t be prouder to witness this “New Golden Age” of our alliance. 🇺🇸🇯🇵🦅🌎⚓️

Extremely proud of how these young Marines carried themselves at LA Fleet Week. 💚 Find them and recognize them. 🪙 Lady: “I can’t believe nobody here has been to war.” Marine: “No, ma’am.” Lady: “How can you be representing war if you haven’t seen war?” Marine: “We are not representing war. We are representing what you can do for our country and our people.” Lady: “You can hear my opinion, but I don’t want your opinion.” Lady: “If you haven’t been to war, that’s why you guys are here. If you were they would’ve never brought you guys here.” Lady 2: “When you say, ‘What can we do for our country?’ what about the homeless?” Marines: “Have a nice day.” Not a single raised voice. Not a single ounce of disrespect. Just young men and women standing in uniform, choosing discipline over anger and honor over ego. In a world that rewards outrage, they showed restraint. In a moment designed to provoke them, they answered with dignity. These Marines may not have seen war yet — and we should pray they never have to — but they already understand sacrifice, service, and what it means to put something greater than themselves first. That’s the kind of character this country is built on. 🇺🇸 Semper Fi.

Luke Owen lost 90 pounds to earn the title Marine, all before graduating high school. On May 21st, he walked across the graduation stage wearing Marine Corps Dress Blues. 🇺🇸 If you want the title bad enough, there’s a price of admission. He paid it. Semper Fi

When a Marine gets a Dear John letter, it doesn’t go quite as Becky planned. 😂

🚨The Commandant of the Marine Corps took the floor today at Modern Day Marine. He came out swinging.🤣 “You can’t swing a dead cat without hitting a GO. This doesn’t happen every day because I can’t get this many general officers to come to a staff meeting. Bend their ear.”

Marines, we lost a legend today. Gene Hackman, who enlisted in the Corps at 16, has passed away at the age of 95. David Letterman once asked him about the circumstances that led to his decision to join the Corps. I believe he said it was the Dress Blues! We have the watch! 🫡

🚨🇺🇸 Today at Modern Day Marine, Acting Secretary of the Navy Hung Cao spoke about his first love: “My first love is the Marine Corps: Because it was the Marine Corps that took me out of Vietnam in 1975. It was the Marine Corps that met me in Guam, and it was the Marine Corps again at Camp Pendleton at the second refugee camp. In 1979, when the Shah of Iran was overthrown and I was living in West Africa, they brought us into the embassies—and those Marines who stood watch over us that night said, ‘Nothing is going to hurt you tonight—not on my watch.’ So I wanted to be like those Marines. I wanted to be like those heroes when I grew up.” Sir, I promise you this—today’s Marines will make you fall in love all over again. Oorah.
