Actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh has broken his silence after his film Punjab '95, released as Satluj, was taken down from ZEE5 India just two days after its release. During a live social media session, Diljit said he was no longer worried because "everyone has downloaded it," adding that once a film reaches the public, "it can never be destroyed." Based on the life of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra, the film had already faced years of delays over certification issues before finally premiering on July 3. ZEE5 removed the film on July 5, saying it would remain unavailable until further notice while exploring legal and official options to restore it.

UNSPEAKABLE- a 13 year old girl was raped over 5 days by 30 men. The girls video testimony ( we have protected her identity) from a hospital bed is utterly bone chilling. She was abducted, moved from one hotel to another and gang raped repeatedly. The case came to light when police raised a hotel in the city and rescued the girl. The girl was sold by the rickshaw puller she asked for a lift from, to a hotel owner. From hereon, in shocking and disturbing details the owner and manager of the hotel kept her in captivity and called several men to the hotel to rape her. Even as the police formed an SIT, arrested 14 people, demolished three of the hotels - Hotel Khungar, Joy Inn and Hotel Saffire, the girl in a video now everywhere on social media laments over the police inaction as well, and says "sab phasenge, ladki ko maarna chahte hai". A video documentation so tragic, so awful; a 13 year old - writhing in pain, asking for justice over a torture unbearable.

Outside a NEET re-exam centre in Madhya Pradesh's Vidisha, Ragini's father folded his hands, begged officials for mercy, and broke down in tears as he pleaded for his daughter to be allowed inside. Witnesses said he even collapsed while desperately requesting authorities to make an exception. The family had travelled nearly 70 kilometres from their village to reach the examination centre. But relentless rain, followed by a punctured motorcycle tyre, delayed their journey—causing them to miss the reporting deadline by just enough to be denied entry.

This viral clip has now led to the suspension of Karnataka DGP K Ramachandra Rao. Unverified videos, allegedly showing the senior IPS officer in a compromising position, surfaced online and spread rapidly. The government has suspended him pending inquiry, citing conduct unbecoming of a senior officer. Rao has denied the allegations, calling the videos false and fabricated. He claims the footage is old, from his posting in Belagavi, and says this is a conspiracy to tarnish his image. The controversy also brings back focus on earlier cases linked to his family, including the high-profile gold smuggling case involving his stepdaughter.

“I am Trapped, Can’t Talk Now” - Twisha’s last heartbreaking message As the Twisha Sharma case continues to spark outrage in Bhopal, her cousin Meenakshi Sharma has now come forward with an emotional testimony, claiming she was among the last people to speak to Twisha before her death. According to Meenakshi, Twisha had been opening up to her for weeks about the alleged harassment she was facing inside her marital home. She claims Twisha repeatedly said she was being mentally tortured, abused, denied food, and isolated. “She was messaging me for almost a month… she kept saying she was trapped,” Meenakshi alleged. Twisha Sharma — a former Miss Pune, MBA graduate, former employee at a German company, and sister of a Major in the Indian army — allegedly lost nearly 15 kilos in just five months, according to her family. Meenakshi also questioned the suicide narrative, alleging that visible injury marks were found on Twisha’s body, including marks near her neck, ears, hands, and feet. The case has triggered widespread anger after allegations surfaced that Twisha was repeatedly humiliated by her in-laws, called degrading names, and pressured over pregnancy and finances. Her husband, advocate Samarth Singh, has been accused by the family of harassment and is reportedly absconding, while his mother — a retired district court judge — is also among the accused. The grieving family says they are still struggling to get justice, alleging delays in police action and claiming they had to sit for hours at the police station before their complaint was heard.

10:05 pm. That was the last time Twisha Sharma spoke to her mother. Her family says the call ended abruptly after Samarth was allegedly heard shouting in the background. What followed, according to Twisha’s brother Major Harshit Sharma and sister-in-law Dr. Rashi Abrol, was close to an hour of panic, confusion and desperate calls to the Singh residence trying to find out what had happened to her. Rasho recalls Giribala speaking in what she describes as a “calm and casual” tone, saying Twisha “had no pulse” and was gone. For the family, the most haunting part is the silence between those two calls. What happened in those crucial moments after Twisha’s final conversation? Why did no one alert the family sooner? And what really transpired inside that house that night? barkha dutt in conversation with Twisha's brother and sister in law. Watch the full Convo here:

A fresh political confrontation has erupted in Jammu and Kashmir after CM Omar Abdullah defended the government’s stand on alcohol regulation, saying liquor outlets exist only for those who choose to consume alcohol and that no one is being forced to drink. His remarks triggered a sharp response from Iltija Mufti, who accused the Chief Minister of giving an “illogical” justification for not imposing a liquor ban in the Union Territory.

“She stopped reciting shlokas. She stopped praying.” In a heated exchange with barkha dutt, Twisha Sharma’s mother-in-law and former judge Giribala Singh defended her earlier remarks about Twisha having “liberal views,” suggesting that Twisha had changed after marriage because she no longer prayed or recited Sanskrit shlokas. But the interview grew visibly tense when Singh denied allegations that Twisha was harassed during her pregnancy or accused of carrying “someone else’s child.” Calling abortion “an act of utmost cruelty,” Singh was immediately challenged by Barkha Dutt, who reminded her that abortion is legal in India and ultimately a woman’s choice. A major twist has unfolded in the ongoing investigation into the tragic death of 33-year-old Twisha Sharma. Newly surfaced CCTV footage from May 12 captures Twisha at the 'Expression Beauty Parlour' in Bhopal, just hours before she was found dead at her marital home. In the video, filmed during a three-hour visit where she received a head massage, Twisha appears calm and entirely relaxed, showing no visible signs of distress. This new evidence has intensified the mystery surrounding her final hours, providing a stark and chilling contrast to home security footage from later that evening, which shows her heading toward the terrace at 7:20 PM before being carried downstairs unconscious an hour later. In a parallel and dramatic development, Twisha’s husband, Samarth Singh, has finally been taken into custody. After evading the police and absconding for 10 days, Samarth—a Bhopal-based lawyer—suddenly surfaced at a court in Jabalpur today to surrender. Wearing a mask, cap, and sunglasses to conceal his identity, his arrival triggered chaotic scenes on the court premises. He ultimately withdrew his anticipatory bail application before being handed over to the Bhopal Police for interrogation.

“She was denied proper food.” That is the chilling allegation made by Twisha’s friend Manika in conversation with Barkha Dutt. Manika claims Twisha was allegedly starved, pushed to lose weight to prepare for pregnancy, and lost nearly 15 kilos in just a few months. “Whenever she went to eat, there was limited food kept for her,” she says.
