Phil's right. Fast 🚑 and effective treatment 🩺 for stroke round the clock ⌚️ is vital to the best recovery from stroke. We need to see 24/7 thrombectomy across the UK so stroke patients get the best chance of survival and recovery. This can't wait another 75 years.

'Rehabilitation is often secondary prevention.' A point well made by @WesStreeting. 👆 Improved access to rehabilitation would support more stroke survivors to recover well, reduce their risk of another stroke, prevent hospital readmission, and reduce future demand on the NHS.

Amazing to see stroke survivor James Mattless on the BBC The One Show surprising the doctor who saved his life by performing an emergency thrombectomy at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS. Thrombectomy is a game-changing treatment that not only saves lives but improves quality of life, too. #TheOneShow
