😡 Won 2 titles at different weights in enemy territory. KOd Barkley in a round. Stopped McClellan in a classic, albeit tragic, battle. P4P rated. Drew approximately 18m viewers in the UK alone for Eubank rivalry. If he was American, he'd have been inducted 15 years ago #boxing

🔥 Muhammad Ali is old, battle-worn, exhausted and hurt badly by Earnie Shavers at the end of Round 14. His response is a near 40-punch assault at the end of Round 15 that almost forces a stoppage. Ali took WAY TOO MUCH in this fight, but what a warrior that guy was! 🇺🇸🥊🇺🇸

So, what we've got so far is good advice in the corner from Ben Davison, while this video refutes the allegation that Itauma hadn't completed 12 in sparring. I notice this video isn't popular. Probably not negative enough. Moses was breezy with the sparring Q. 📽️ talkSPORT Boxing

👀 Prime Mike Tyson spars Oliver McCall and Glenn McCrory in preparation for his undisputed heavyweight title defence against Larry Holmes. An 11-1 McCall would appear on the undercard. McCrory (20-5) was preparing for a British cruiserweight (still 190) title fight 🇺🇸🥊🇺🇸

Larry Holmes with the BEST LEFT JAB IN HEAVYWEIGHT HISTORY. The fight with Trevor Berbick (1981) is almost a tutorial on the stick. Brilliant speed and accuracy, frequently setting up the right hand.

Larry Holmes handed Tex Cobb such a BRUTAL beating in 1982 that veteran broadcaster Howard Cosell never worked another professional fight. When asked if he wanted a rematch with Holmes, Cobb responded, "I don't think Larry's hands could take it!"

Larry Holmes told me how he survived Earnie Shavers biggest right-hand shot in their 1979 rematch. "[Earnie] hit too damn hard! He knocked me out with that shot and when I hit the ground I woke up."

📆 50 years ago today, Muhammad Ali UD 15 Ken Norton. This is a rare CBS copy with comms from Jerry Quarry & Tom Brookshier. If anyone has it in better condition with the 10-person studio panel (which included Joe Frazier) scoring, then let me know. Highly controversial! 🇺🇸🥊🇺🇸

🩸 More Earnie Shavers violence. The opponent is Roy Williams, who was a serious bad ass and frequent Ali sparring partner. THIS ROUND IS EXTRAORDINARY. Hopefully the referee never worked again. Date: December 11, 1976 Location: The Aladdin, Las Vegas 🇺🇸🥊🇺🇸

"I know Moses did do 12 rounds..." - Fabio Wardley Jeez, what a total shocker! This SHOULD put an end to the sparring debate, but I won't be surprised if it doesn't. It's X. Nobody knows more than the guys who are there. That's a fact! Credit: talkSPORT Boxing

Perhaps the GREATEST 15th round ever fought. Unarguably, one of the GREATEST heavyweight rounds ever fought. "Anybody wants to know if Holmes can take it, LOOK AT THIS!"
