Doug Ford’s next billion dollar scandal. Seven private career colleges received $385 million in OSAP grants in 2024-25, amid serious questions about suspicious activity and government oversight. Now students across the entire post-secondary sector are paying the price for the government’s mismanagement. This morning, I joined CTV Your Morning Ottawa to discuss the OSAP scandal. Doug Ford needs to immediately reinstate OSAP for students who followed the rules. Keep the bad actors cut off, investigate them, and make affected students whole. The government must also reverse its OSAP grant cuts to public colleges and universities. Their claims that OSAP was unsustainable deserve serious scrutiny in light of what we now know. Students should not be paying the price for this government’s failures. #onpoli

These disasters may look different, but they expose the same problem: when Ontarians need their government most, this government is falling short. Unless everyone plans to stop using AI, it’s here to stay. And we need the infrastructure to support it. But I don’t trust Doug Ford to get this right, and we’re not off to a good start.
