Sonic and the Secret Rings actually has some good levels

Sonic Colours also plays as good as it looks too

Sonic Advance 2 could be a somewhat good game if they didn't make the Air Dash so unbelievably awkward to perform It ruins the fun so many times when it just simply doesn't come out, absolutely infuriating

Sonic Generations is fun

I always criticise Shadow Generations for its gameplay but in terms of polish? It is unmatched by FAR by any 3D Sonic game Comparing Chaos Island to Frontiers is almost night and day

Yet another level plagued by Sonic Advance 2's terrible button mapping

Yeah, Sonic Superstars just has the best 2D levels in the franchise

"Why can't Sonic do this" He already did it 12 years ago

Rayman Legends is still a masterpiece You just don't get movement as buttery smooth as this anywhere else

It still baffles me how the Sonic community treats Sonic Superstars as some awful game just because of a few mediocre bosses when the game is actually really good

And this is exactly the problem with some of the Sonic fanbase People no longer value platforming in their Sonic the Hedgehog platformer game

This trailer is brilliantly crafted! ... so WHY was it not shown at one of the big gaming events this year???

Modern City Escape from Sonic Generations is one of the most overrated levels in the series It's not bad but 2/3s of it is just boosting

Marble Zone is great

Sonic Unleashed rail grinding is really fun combined with the Air Dash If 3D Sonic games are to have 2D sections, please make them a good speed

Asteroid Coaster has such great platforming This is a perfect example of how platform cycles in Sonic games are extremely fun to master

Sonic Superstars is so good at introducing level gimmicks that actually add to the stage and make it better

Some of Sonic's best levels are in Lost World 3DS

Trip's Story in Sonic Superstars is such a shame because it's the exact difficulty I want in a Sonic game that's both optional and well designed But some of the bosses are genuinely atrocious, over double the level's length in this case

Modern Planet Wisp is the ultimate skill check level Have you truly mastered how Sonic controls? Are you quick with your movements? Do you know how the Rocket Wisp works? It also helps that it's a great length too, truly putting you to the test. Best level in the game.
