Agents from the Nogales Border Patrol Station apprehended 13 illegal aliens attempting to cross illegally in the remote Sonoran Desert. Among them, one Mexican national was identified as having ties to the Sinaloa Cartel. Our message is clear: If you cross illegally, you will be arrested, prosecuted, and deported. In a coordinated joint operation, agents from the El Paso Sector assisted in shutting down a cartel stash house in Horizon City, TX. Criminal organizations use stash houses to temporarily conceal illegal aliens or contraband until their “cargo” can be transported further into the U.S. Working alongside our law enforcement partners, we will continue to target these uninhabitable cesspools. A one-year-old Guatemalan child was abandoned along the Colorado River Monday afternoon by a smuggler who took him across the border and then left him to fend for himself along the water’s edge. Thanks to our agent’s quick response, tragedy was averted!
