AT LAST! 💯❤️🇺🇸❤️ This Border Wall is MAGNIFICENT and will HELP to PROTECT and PRESERVE our SOVEREIGNTY. It will STOP cartels from INVADING us! Cartels ILLEGALLY INVADE the BIG BEND NATIONAL PARK and ENDANGER the animals and people in TEXAS and every U.S. state.

Maybe you should do a joint press conference with folks who are not part of the administration.

"Historic security did not happen by accident, it's a result of the comprehensive approach to border security. We ended catch and release, we prioritize detention and removal authorities, and we sent a clear message that illegal entry into the United States will not be tolerated, and the numbers speak for themselves." CBP Commissioner Rodney Scott on our efforts to make the border the most secure it's been in history.

CBP is pausing all construction activity in Big Bend National Park while I visit and conduct a personal, on-the-ground evaluation. CBP is firmly committed to protecting America, and that includes our national treasures like Big Bend National Park (BBNP). We know the current and predictable national security threats and they are real. Now over the next couple of days, I will join a small team to evaluate the terrain and listen to local leadership, community members and stakeholders to ensure that we secure our borders while simultaneously protecting BBNP for generations to come.

BREAKING: The CBP Commissioner just WENT OFF on the lies told about the southern border: "We’re FORCING the media to come right to the border and see the most secure border that this country’s ever had." It didn't take Congress. All we needed was a NEW PRESIDENT!

In President Trump’s first year back in office, we delivered the most secure border in American history – and we did so in the immediate aftermath of the worst border crisis in history. THANK YOU to the men and women of CBP, ICE, law enforcement, and the military for your sacrifices to secure our southern border, restore national pride and confidence, and protect your fellow citizens.

Dynamite blasting and barrier construction is imminent in Big Bend National Park. Construction workers are arriving this weekend. They plan on plowing a "patrol road" through this rugged mountainside, and all along the river corridor. Virtually nobody crosses the border here.

This president, the policies that are being enacted, the leadership at CBP, Homeland Security, and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement—there’s no tolerance for this kind of illegal activity.” — CBP Acting Deputy Commissioner Ron Vitiello

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott told CBS News’ Nicole Sganga that he’s been in communication with the Department of Homeland Security for months about the construction near Big Bend National Park, saying in conversations he had that “they would not be building any wall, any fence, any barrier like that.” Several months after rumors about a Big Bend border wall began to spread, construction that was underway on Monday came to a pause. “They had other tools and strategies where they could secure that portion of the border without erecting those types of barriers,” Abbott said. “No barriers whatsoever in Big Bend National Park.”
