Even if it makes no sense that physics impacts cause my virtual head to move in the mirror while my real VR viewpoint is not moving, I sort of like it this way.

I've just had a realization that if you change the relative position of the lower leg bone, it may be possible to avoid pinching the knee without having to modify the original model It's only a bandaid though because the knee shading won't look good

I've just spent 3 hours in Resonite trying to solo ProtoFlux without any tutorials or mentor, and ended up building an OSCQuery bridge so that Resonite may communicate with my OSC clients through WebSockets.

I'm confused at how the physics animation and IK system I've been trying to improve lately has been working in cases that I never intended it to. It was just supposed to be for avatar-to-avatar interactions

I derived convex hull mesh colliders from the bones of a SkinnedMesh, to test stuff involving avatars and NPCs having collisions that match closely to the mesh. Doesn't scale, should probably be used only on the local avatar, fun to try. Basis framework

Maybe I'm the weird one for thinking that bullet collision hitboxes and accurate physics collision meshes should be part of the avatar model data and avatar formats like VRM.

I am releasing "Skinned Mesh Constraint Builder". Avatars like Milltina are weight painted in such a way that attaching objects or particles to the body isn't as straightforward as parenting to one bone. Use this tool to attach a GameObject to a polygon, like weight painting.

If you own a robotic arm, other users can now remotely move it with standard DPS or SPS lights, using this new open-source software that I am releasing today. No special setup is needed from the other users. If they already have lights, they can control it, no program necessary.

I tried to make a visualization tool that would assist me editing textures in Photoshop, but turns out this might not be any better than just opening Blender with the UV editor.

I've added a function to copy selected UV islands to the Windows clipboard as a transparent picture, for use as a selection mask in Photoshop (still need to figure out UV margins)

Blendshape Viewer has been updated to V3. This tool lets you visualize which area of a model is affected by a blendshape, and change its value. From now on, you can press the ALT key to compare the blendshape. This version should also run faster on models with lots of shapes.

Since the face tracking shape creator tool is non-destructive, there's no much hinderance to mess around. I can build multiple sets of face tracking styles on the same avatar model.

The Starmesh "Ripple Wave" component creates a multi-frame blendshape which makes a wave ripple throughout the mesh. No special shaders are needed, this is a blendshape. Starmesh will be available for Patreon and Fanbox supporters ⭐ Documentation:
