I am currently working to issue an official invitation from Israel and to host Sheikh Sheik Murshide Kheznewî in Israel. After watching a powerful and courageous interview he gave to the Kurdish TV channel Rûdaw, it is clear that this is a rare and bold voice of a Kurdish religious and social leader calling on the world to listen. These are his words, as stated in the interview: If you allow me, I want my voice to be heard. I want to call for help from Israel. Until when are we going to be killed by Muslims. Until when are we going to be sacrificed for Gaza and the Palestinians. If my country or land is destroyed, I curse the land of those who are against me. If my mother, our Kurdish mothers, cannot live, may the mothers of those who are against us not live either. If my country is not free, may the land of those who are against us not be free as well. For these reasons, we Kurds must be awake and aware. We need to strengthen our relations with Israel. We need an alliance with Israel. I, Sheik Murshide Kheznewî, promise that if Israel comes to the aid and helps free my people in Rojava, I will be Israel’s eternal servant. These words, coming from a senior Muslim cleric, reflect deep frustration with the regional reality and clearly identify Israel as a moral and strategic partner for the Kurdish people. The purpose of this invitation is to enable open, honest, and courageous dialogue religious, humanitarian, and diplomatic and to explore paths of cooperation that may benefit both peoples and contribute to regional stability. A historic moment. A delegation from Rojava, led by Mazloum Abdi and Ilham Ahmed, met with a United States delegation led by Senator Lindsey Graham. Diplomacy. Determination. Strategic coordination. The combined efforts between Rojava, Washington and the strengthened lobby operating in Israel and the United States have contributed to stopping the genocide. This did not happen by chance. It happened through consistent diplomatic work, strategic alliances and sustained political pressure. The lobby in Israel and in the United States which I have worked extensively to strengthen is bearing fruit. And we are not stopping here. The struggle continues. Further achievements are within reach. Members of the Druze community, representatives of the Kurdish community in Israel, and delegates who arrived from Kurdistan stood together with a clear message of respect, partnership, and hope. The gathering expressed shared values of loyalty, identity, the struggle for justice, and the preservation of heritage. It highlighted the natural bond between the communities and the importance of unity and a shared destiny. This demonstration was part of a broader, ongoing effort. I work and mobilize together with activists and partners in Israel and around the world for Kurdistan. This includes organizing demonstrations and public initiatives, building a strong Kurdish lobby within the Israeli government, mobilizing the Jewish voice in the U.S. Congress and Senate, connecting Kurdish leaders with key decision-makers in Israel, and hosting Kurdish delegations visiting the country while accompanying them to meaningful and influential meetings. When fake news becomes so desperate that it literally starts counting fingers… you know the truth is winning. According to rumors spreading online, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is supposedly “dead”, and his last press conference was allegedly AI-generated because he had “six fingers”. There’s just one small problem with that story… In the video released today he raises his hand and shows everyone: One, two, three, four, five. Yes — five fingers. Hamsa, Hamsa. 🖐️ And no, he’s not dead. But the fake news? It certainly is. It is historical, moral, and strategic. It is time for courageous, open, and responsible dialogue between leaderships. Why is the world silent? While civilians are being slaughtered. While Kurds are being persecuted. While Iran and Rojava, Syria, burn and the international conscience remains silent. 🎬 The Jews of Qamishli – Rojava Part 1 In the city of Qamishli, in Syrian Kurdistan (Rojava), an ancient Jewish community once lived side by side with their Kurdish neighbors. They shared language, traditions, songs, and a deep bond of brotherhood. This short film tells the story of the Jews of Qamishli — their arrival in the early 20th century, their Kurdish roots, their customs, and the life they built along the banks of the Jaghjagh River. It is a story of coexistence, shared culture, and mutual respect between the Jewish people and the Kurdish people. Even after the Jewish community left the city, their memory still lives in the streets, traditions, and stories of those who remember them. This film was shared with me by the leadership in Rojava, and it preserves an important chapter in the history of the Jews of Kurdistan.
