QTCinderella with a joke about Twitch CEO Dan Clancy that I think everyone in this community feels is a bit too real...

YouTube will launch Live Creator Matchmaking in early 2027 as part of Go Live Together. You'll be able to browse other live creators or let YouTube automatically pair you with a similar creator. The product promo features ExtraEmily and Esfand.

Twitch is adding more Golden Emotes (PogChamp, CoolCat, WutFace) via a new Mythic Hype Train. Like Golden Kappa, they will be limited to 24 hours.

CEO Dan Clancy says Twitch now uses AI to identify streamers that may not match a brand, since it now transcribes all streams for brand safety. It won't show ads on channels or content the AI believes don't match what the advertiser is trying to achieve.

The fifth most popular stream on Twitch right now is Fandy, who is currently in the process of giving birth. I believe that a live birth will be a first for the platform.

Twitch is addressing Shared Chat/Viewership abuse by no longer showing Combined Views in Browse when you sort from High to Low. It will now show individual viewership.

Twitch isn't making Gen AI training *opt-in* because no one would voluntarily choose to opt in. Instead, they are offering an opt-out option.

Twitch will no longer enforce against streamers who display a Combined Chat.

Tim Walz is currently playing Crazy Taxi on Twitch.

Twitch will launch the ability for creators to self-enforce a view cap if they feel they are being viewbotted. This would presumably allow the creator to avoid punishment issued by Twitch's detection by proactively self-capping.

Polish YouTube streamer Piotrek Garkowski, aka Łatwogang, has raised over 200,000,000 zł (~$55 million USD) for the Cancer Fighters Foundation. They also hit 1.64 million live viewers. There's one hour left in the charity marathon stream.

Twitch CEO Dan Clancy claims that small streamers are the worst offenders when it comes to viewbotting. "Most of the viewbotting and most of the fraud is not on a big streamer. It's on a small streamer, but thousands of them."

Twitch's Chief Product Officer, Mikey Minty, has addressed the community regarding the ongoing discussion about counting lurkers.

Interesting! Once TheStockGuy removed the 'Election' tag from his stream, his ad revenue returned for the subsequent stream. He says, "There is no adpocalypse." To me, it does suggest Twitch opted to remove ads from anything politically related.

How do you come up with a great YouTube title? Steal it. Then, if it works, keep doing it.

Twitch is actively issuing warnings to streamers who are doing Omoggle on stream. Omoggle is a live 1v1 arena-style face-looksmaxxing service, similar to Ome/Monkey app, in that it randomly pairs you with a stranger. Example of Quin69 being mogged:

Twitch has banned Mizkif for 7 Days for joking about Charlie Kirk. "Fuck Twitch, man, fuck this bullshit. Why did I get banned during a sponsor? Are they serious?" Video via Gabriel Chavez's YouTube.

Twitch's viewership cap for streamers persistently viewbotting will be based on their valid traffic and historical patterns. Viewership over the cap will not be counted, including valid traffic such as Raids, during the period they are subject to the cap.

Twitch CEO Dan Clancy brought ExtraEmily to Twitch HQ to meet with the executive team and announce that he is stepping down for Emily to become the new CEO.

Twitch isn't making Gen AI training opt-in because no one would voluntarily choose to opt in. Instead, they are offering an opt-out option.
