I'm super excited to finally show off what I have been working on! This is my Wirelight Plexus shader! I will be releasing it as a standalone shader and a #Poiyomi Module this Friday! Over this week I will be sending some more posts showing all its features! #VRChat

As I mentioned the other day, I got tri-planar mapping and lighting going for the hex platform. Just one texture and normal for a pretty convincing looking result. Still a few things to work out. But its coming along! Also testing a more rounded version.

Soooooo I've been working on a soft outline/glow shader I'll be releasing soon. It gets applied directly to the model's materials, and is everyday usable performance wise! It's not 100% perfect, but pretty close :D This is in a scene with no bloom:

On the theme of screenspace effects, I did another fun side-quest self study and implemented JFA (jump flood algorithm). This lets me make cool (and thick) outline effects. (Also spout support on the #VRChat beta is cool. I can be lazy and take videos from desktop lol)

I also tried this with additive particles, and it looks pretty cool! Almost like plasma in a tube. Lots of overdraw though, so performance isn't great. #ZekkDev #VRChat

Recently switched to using a GC0308 board for face tracking. It cost $15 shipped, took 10 minutes to set up, and I've found the quality is better than my previous self built ESP32 based one that was ~$40 and took a few hours to put together. Highly recommend. #VRChat #HashFT

Had an idea when I woke up today that I tried, and it came out pretty neat! Its a mesh/shader system that supports my avatar when I space move so I'm not standing on air! My playspace is pretty small, so its hard to show off. #VRChat

After a long time, I am returning to this project! I broke through the big hurdle that burnt me out on it originally: scaling! Can now scale it up and down freely. Also started experimenting with some Audiolink effects! Let me know what you think! #VRChat

Been seeing this float around, closing wings won't change your general FPS. You only see FPS impact from the wing menus when the menu is open. When the menu is closed there is no impact. Because the FPS counter is in the menu you have to use external overlays to see this.

The new VRCConstraints are super cool. The performance improvement was massive. This is a poor avatar I made rq, with 5 VRCVonstraint clones to make a sudo sandevistan effect. Still not something I would run every day. But crazy how many possibilities this opens up. #VRChat

Putting the final touches on my Hex Platform shader (toggles and the like). The shader is fully done. Just have to clean up the project and create documentation! Will hopefully, finally, release it next week assuming no more unexpected issues! #VRChat
