As I mentioned the other day, I got tri-planar mapping and lighting going for the hex platform. Just one texture and normal for a pretty convincing looking result. Still a few things to work out. But its coming along! Also testing a more rounded version.

Soooooo I've been working on a soft outline/glow shader I'll be releasing soon. It gets applied directly to the model's materials, and is everyday usable performance wise! It's not 100% perfect, but pretty close :D This is in a scene with no bloom:

On the theme of screenspace effects, I did another fun side-quest self study and implemented JFA (jump flood algorithm). This lets me make cool (and thick) outline effects. (Also spout support on the #VRChat beta is cool. I can be lazy and take videos from desktop lol)

I also tried this with additive particles, and it looks pretty cool! Almost like plasma in a tube. Lots of overdraw though, so performance isn't great. #ZekkDev #VRChat
