On 4th May Edison Moirangthem posted a video on social medias where he confidently proclaimed that some meitei women were raped openly by the kuki-zo volunteers without any evidences. The news had also reached local medias where majority of the people believed and protests were held in different states where they put up pictures from google on a banner and tried to malign the image of the kuki-zo men. However these claims or accusations were proven to be wrong by their respective parents. But it didn’t do much help as some of our women already were victims of r@pe at that point where the meiteis tried to justify as an act of retribution. Another influencer Soma Laishram had also taken to social media where she talked about women supposedly being r@ped openly. You are speaking gibberish madam Binalakshmi Nepram why can’t you get straight into the question instead of beating around the bush everytime? The key word here is “12 militants”. How many more militants are still undercover? And the meira paibis who are noble women as they define are leading them to create havoc in kuki-zo villages. You question the central govt about not resolving the issue yet you support these group of women who obstruct the armies from carrying out their duties. There is 50+ days of non stop violence because your meitei militants are not adhering to peace and initiating attacks at kuki-zo villages who are again aided by the meira paibis. Also armies do not take sides.. they were mere spectators even as the kuki-zo houses were being torched and the people were tortured because they did not have the order from the state govt to act.
