REPORT: There were no vehicles traveling on the Francis... Scott Key Bridge when it fell into the ocean thanks to heroic police officers who jumped into action. It has now been confirmed that the only people on the bridge when it collapsed was a pothole repair crew. A total of eight workers were reportedly on a meal break when the cargo ship crashed into the bridge. The eight workers plunged off the 185-foot bridge into the frigid water. Two of the eight workers were rescued, one who was hospitalized and one who refused treatment. "He brushed his clothes off and wanted to see his family. He was shaken up a little bit but nothing major. I guess the good lord was on his side," a first responder said. The six other workers are presumed dead.show more

U.S. Forces Disable Cargo Vessel Attempting to Violate Blockade... TAMPA, Fla. — U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces disabled a commercial cargo vessel in the Gulf of Oman, Oct. 10, after the ship’s crew ignored repeated warnings and attempted to run the ongoing naval blockade against Iran. A U.S. military fighter jet struck the stern of Panama-flagged M/V Ocean Molica (also known as the “Arika Sun”) with a precision munition, fully disabling the ship’s propulsion without harming the crew. The large cargo vessel was attempting to transit regional waters after having previously departed an Iranian port. CENTCOM forces resumed America’s blockade against all ships entering or departing Iranian ports on July 14. Four commercial vessels have been disabled and 135 ships have been turned around during three months of strict enforcement. Additionally, U.S. forces have destroyed 10 tankers linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' multibillion-dollar shadow network over the same period. All mariners are advised to heed blockade warnings from CENTCOM forces. Crews should also continue to monitor Notice to Mariners broadcasts and contact U.S. naval forces on bridge-to-bridge channel 16 when operating in the Gulf of Oman and Strait of Hormuz approaches.show more

9 hours of a national power outage in Portugal... and It felt like lockdown all over again. But here are 5 things I wouldn’t have expected.👇 1/ telephone networks went down very quickly too, so there were no comms 2/ no working ATMs, so no cash 3/ major supermarkets were cash only / closed - those that stayed open killed it 4/ trains down + no phones / apps left people resorting to hitch hiking to get home 5/ only a handful of petrol stations were working so not just EVs would grind to a halt pretty quickly People began stock piling water. Cars were initially gridlocked and the police were on the streets. There was a nervous energy in the air. But there was also a kind of excitement and then a calm. People were playing on quiet streets with their kids and gathering with friends. We had a bbq and found ourselves thinking of a cards against humanity card. Is this is how it ends? Not with a bang but with a… bbq?! Good to have the lights back on! 💡⚡️show more
