No stress eating and no excuses. This is a huge W. 300 pounds feels like a distant memory now, that will never be revisited. Frank’s athleticism, flexibility, and energy haven’t been this good since he was in high school. He has completely reformed his body composition, which isn’t always reflected by weight loss. He is building muscle and carrying significant excess skin. In fact, when a person his height loses 200+ pounds, the excess skin typically weighs between 15-25 pounds or in higher cases even 40 pounds. That means if Frank got surgery for his excess skin, he would weigh ~ 270 pounds. This combined with his A1C and overall physiological renaissance, Frank is adding 20+ years to his life. We’ve never had a weight target, the goal has always been to establish a healthier sustainable lifestyle. On that front, Frank has already won. It has now been 2 years of weigh ins and I couldn’t be more proud of Frank & the positive impact he is having on others. This journey will ultimately be his legacy. *Sorry about the toes, cost of doing business the man hasn’t worn socks for decades. Anudder weigh in the booksshow more

Frank easily gets stressed and he has to stop turning to food in those moments, especially when he’s alone. He’s been crushing his walks and exercise. He’s the lightest he’s been since the 1990’s and he is capable of doing things he never thought was possible. For example, catching a pass from Eli Manning last week and running down a football field. Best of all, it is inspiring others. He fluctuated between 290-295 pounds all month. 80-90% of people who lose 20+ pounds, regain it within 1-5 years. Frank has lost 10X that and remains fully locked in on his walks 2+ years in. I remind him constantly, how impressive his follow through has been. He’s noticeably quicker and more dangerous when ranting with hammer fists, particularly on sidewalks. It’s actually becoming a liability. I have no doubt he is building muscle and also carrying 30-50 pounds of excess skin, which could drop him as low as 250 when removed. With that said, Frank can certainly improve on diet. That has been the juggernaut. He can’t be complacent, he’s gotta push harder. The A's continue to stack up on young left-handed... pitching, selecting Mason Edwards (2nd round, pick 47). Edwards wields a 91-94 mph four-seam averaging ~21 iVB, although the pitch plays below its raw carry from a very high 6.6 ft. release height. Likely needs to be 93-95 for big league success, swing-and-miss somewhat lacked. The secondaries and their potential make Edwards the prospect he is. From the over-the-top release, his 80 mph curveball generates strong two-plane movement (-10/11) at a very steep approach. Strong command of the offering, ability to use at high frequency. While he didn't use it too often, Edwards' changeup has massive promise, also on a very steep plane from his heavily vertical release. Showed velocity and movement separation from his four-seam, projects as a great weapon vs. RHH. Boasted an elite whiff rate >50%. Needs more consistent feel and usage. The southpaw's slider is also a work in progress and was non-existent in many outings this year, but it will be a critical bridge pitch in his arsenal. 80-82 mph with inconsistent shape. With such a large vertical distinction between his four-seam and curveball, Edwards needs a hard, tight slider to sit between the pair and make swing decisions tougher. Hopefully, the A's can find a mid-80s pitch in gyro territory. The largest area for growth with Edwards is his command, as he posted a walk rate >10% in each of his three collegiate seasons (11.9% junior year). In my opinion, it seemed like he was always pitching for punchouts and around the edges of the plate. I think more strikes should come with more in-zone emphasis in early counts, and he has the stuff to never worry about being over the plate. With some velocity progression and refinement of his changeup and slider, I find it very likely Mason Edwards becomes at least of middle of the rotation starting pitcher. A's have a stellar crop of young southpaws.show more

Today, we recognized the journey of Kevin Eriksen, who... has been with the Yankees since 2021. Kevin was born with cerebral palsy and has also battled with ulcerative colitis. While he rarely used a wheelchair as a child, when Kevin was hospitalized in November 2020 with a severe flare-up of his ulcerative colitis, a lack of activity as well as his medication exacerbated each other, leading him to double his weight and become almost entirely reliant on his wheelchair. On the night of Jan. 28, 2024, Kevin committed to making a change, going for a 0.2 mile walk in the freezing cold. Every day from that point — rain, shine, snow or heat, he made sure to go for a walk, increasing the length of his walk by 0.2 miles approximately every month. Over the last year, Kevin has covered more than 500 miles and dropped approximately 70 lbs. Kevin celebrated the 1-year anniversary of his journey by doing his daily walk navigating the Yankee Stadium 100 Level Concourse and finishing on the warning track of the field. His fellow Yankee colleagues, friends, and family were excited and proud to cheer on Kevin as we congratulated him on his remarkable accomplishment!show more

RHP/1B Trace Phillips (Middle Tennessee Baseball) is an interesting... draft-eligible sophomore on which to keep close tabs. Last spring, he hit .304/.360/.547 with 8 2B, 13 HR and 47 RBIs, but it’s his ability on the mound that's the root of his buzz. Phillips' back of the baseball card numbers last season are modest, but there is more to it than meets the eye. At 6'3" and 185-lbs, Phillips has an athletic, high-waisted frame. In the box, he has a simple setup with an ear-high handset and the bat horizontal above his back shoulder. Phillips has a slight load in which he has a noticeable barrel tip and a small stride. He moves well in the box and has some scissor action with his back leg. Phillips’ pure hit tool is fringey, but he has plus raw power and has shown the ability to drive the baseball to all fields. Max EV last spring of 109.4, if he's able to lift the ball more it will lead to a more impressive power output. Phillips’ current prospect status is largely driven by his ability on the mound. His numbers were unimpressive last season, but he took a step forward this fall. There’s some low hanging fruit to clean up in his delivery, but he has a short, whippy arm stroke and attacks from a low-three quarters slot with plenty of arm speed. Phillips’ FB has been up to 96 with ride through the zone (particular life at the top), though his best pitch is a high-70s-to-low-80s CH. He does a nice job of killing spin on it, and It averaged almost 15 MPH off his fastball this fall. It’s a plus pitch that flashes both fade to the arm side as well late tumble. Phillips completes his arsenal with a mid-80s slider that flashed above-average this fall with sharp, two-plane tilt. Both his changeup and slider profile as legitimate swing-and-miss offerings. Another positive development with Phillips this fall is that his strike-throwing took a step in the right direction. Mid-4th-6th round type this July. (📽️: Middle Tennessee Baseball)show more

Misiorowski: 2025 (left) vs. 2026 (right) mechanics -He's been... averaging nearly 2 mph harder on his fastball over his last handful of starts compared to last year. -His K/BB has almost doubled: from 2.81 to 5.41 this year, reflecting much better command. What you'll immediately notice is a significantly pre-set forward torso posture. Why? ✅Shifts the loading strategy from quad/toe to glute/heel ✅Back heel stays connected longer ✅Deeper back knee/hip flexion ✅Able to stay in his load longer, building more linear momentum ✅Less motion happening at the trunk - this is a "set it and forget it" approach that was likely targeted at improving his command over velocity. ✅Pelvis rotating level into release, not dumping arm side He also has noticeably larger legs, allowing him to produce more ground force, both on the back side and lead leg block standpoint. I've said for a while that I don't think we'll see a pitcher hit over 107 in our lifetimes, but Miz is one of the few who has a chance to knock on that door.show more

Everybody says they want it… But Few have the... fortitude to do the things it takes to get what they say they want Seneca 2024 & UPJ commit Zyler Freedman - after a long chase- slays the 🐉 dragon 90 mph off the mound tonight Here’s the story 📖 Zyler came to PVS baselining on the mound at 76.2 summer between Frosh and Sophomore year. No great size or mobility gifts… but what he did have- was the heart of a Lion. And that determination and discipline led to some great gains in his first year at PVS. He had a goal of 90 mph on the mound at PBR in Feb of 2023. He came up short in a memorable display of determination : 88 mph @PBRPennsylvania He dusted himself off and put his efforts into pitch design and command. He became one of the WPIAL’s best pitchers in the toughest baseball section. After that- he went to the Youngstown Class B summer league and pitched well there and committed to UPJ. After his commitment - we sat down and devised a plan. A plan most kids don’t have the patience to execute. It was rooted in Alan Jaeger Jaeger Sports principles of Weening off volume and building two weeks for every down week. We are talking 5 months folks. Throw by throw execution for five months. Five months. Along the way- we built him up using several Randy Sullivan MPT, CSCS concepts as well as tried and tested in house methods. Today was his first “Go day”. And he hit that 90. His boys were as pumped for him as they would have been for themselves. Our plan has just begun - More lay ahead. And what’s certain is- he’ll execute whatever it takes to keep moving forward in this game “It Takes What it Takes” has long been one of our mottos- That’s perhaps never been better demonstrated than Zyler these past 10 monthsshow more

Shifting focus to 2025, RHP Tyler Bremner (UC Santa... Barbara Baseball) is one of my favorite College arms in the class. As a freshman, Bremner split time between the bullpen and the rotation and pitched his way to a modest 5.37 ERA with an impressive strikeout-to-walk ratio of 80-to-17 across 55.1 innings. Bremner has a lean, athletic build at 6'2" and 180-lbs. He has room to fill out physically and as he does, his already-electric stuff will only tick up. Bremner has a low maintenance, under control operation with present arm speed. He attacks hitters from a high-three quarter slot and his fastball sits in the 93-96 range and tops out at 98. It has elite riding life (averaged over 21" of IVB in '23) and is most effective when located in the top-half of the zone. Between its velocity and shape, it is a 60-grade offering. He boasts two quality secondary offerings in a mid-80s changeup and low-80s slider. Bremner’s changeup is the more polished of the two, but his sweeping slider has plus potential. In 2023, Bremner’s changeup generated an impressive 48% miss rate. He has advanced feel for the offering, and he will throw it to both left and righthanded hitters. It plays well off his mid-90s fastball and flashes big time late tumbling life and some fade to the arm side. Bremner threw his slider just 12% of the time in 2023, but it has the chance to be a true out pitch in the future. It features ample late sweeping life as well as some depth, and is a real weapon especially against righthanded hitters. It has reportedly taken a step forward this fall and could be a lethal offering in 2024. Between his plus control, low effort delivery, and the chance to have three plus or better pitches, Bremner profiles as a starter professionally. He has a chance to become a household name this spring and with two strong seasons pitching in the rotation, Bremner has 1st Round upside in 2025. (📽️: UC Santa Barbara Baseball)show more

RHP Cole Leaman (Lehigh Baseball) is an arm I'm... really looking forward to following this spring. Fresh off a strong Sophomore season in which he worked a 2.31 ERA with 49 Ks to 23 BB across 46.2 IP. Showed some positive flashes on the Cape. While slightly undersized, Leaman has a strong and athletic build at 6' and 190-lbs. Has put on a lot of good weight over the last couple of years. Leaman has almost a "check point" delivery in which he takes a noticeable side step towards the 1B side, gathers himself and breaks into the rest of his motion. Lengthy arm stroke and attacks from a high-3/4 slot from a low release height. Leaman is a high-level athlete and a dynamic mover on the mound. Sits really well on his back glute and his lead leg block enables him to generate power and drive his back side through. Drop and drive delivery. Little bit of effort, but plenty of arm speed. Leaman's FB sits in the 91-94 range, but it was up to 96 this summer and 98 this fall. Jumps out of his hand from a ~5'3" release height and flashes riding life through the zone. Averaged 15" of carry this summer and 2,361 RPMs. Gets over the barrels of opposing hitters when located in the top-1/2 of the zone, which is where the pitch is at its best. Command can be erratic at times. Would give it a 55. Leaman's most-used off speed pitch is a high-70s-to-low-80s CB. Shape is inconsistent and it can get a little slurvy at times, but he snapped off a handful of really good ones between the spring and summer. When it's at its best, it will flash a bigger shape with sharp, downward tilt. Leaman will also mix in a low-to-mid-80s SL that's distinct in shape. Another pitch he's still gaining a feel for, but like his CB it's also shown big time flashes. Shape of it will vary, but it will sometimes flash plus with sharp, two-plane break (more sweep than depth) and essentially take a late, hard left turn. Rounds out his arsenal with a high-80s cutter and a mid-to-high-80s CH. The former is more intriguing than the latter. Curious to see how much he uses the cutter this spring, threw a couple this summer that had late glove-side life. Leaman has a very intriguing blend of athleticism and stuff, though he'll need to iron out his command and control in order to maximize his upside. As mentioned, it's a bit scattered right now and has hindered him in some starts. 5th-8th round type this July. (📽️: Falmouth Commodores)show more

🚨🇺🇸 CONVICTED ANTIFA BOMBER CELEBRATES CHARLIE KIRK ASSASSINATION FROM... PRISON: "THE BULLET IS MUCH QUICKER AND MORE EFFECTIVE" He's behind bars. He's still calling for murder. Malik Fard Muhammad, the most violent BLM-Antifa militant convicted in Portland's 2020 riots, has been celebrating Charlie Kirk's assassination and urging more political killings from prison. From his September 26 blog post: "Charlie Kirk was a direct threat to us, and he has been dispensed. We've had the ballot since the '60s and it hasn't changed a thing. The bullet is much quicker and more effective — gratifying, too." Muhammad is serving 10 years in an Oregon state prison after being convicted on multiple charges including attempted murder, riot, assault, unlawful firearm possession, and possession/manufacture of destructive devices. During the 2020 riots, he traveled from Indianapolis to Portland after receiving "terrorism training" in Louisville. He distributed bats to rioters and threw Molotov-style explosives at police. One device exploded and severely burned another rioter. His supporters continue running his "Malik Speaks!" blog, transcribing his letters calling for violence. He describes himself as a "26-year-old black/Palestinian pansexual Muslim... anarchist antifascist." This is radicalization in real time, from inside a U.S. prison. ⚠️ Attention Update on Captain Kyle Family, I wanted... to let you all know that Captain Kyle has been in the hospital since this morning. He has been sick and throwing up for the last 3–4 days. Renee brought him to the ER, and they discovered a pinch in his upper intestine causing an obstruction. They are working on relieving the pressure and straightening the pinch. He’s also been very dehydrated, so he’s receiving IV fluids, pain medication, and nausea medication. His kidneys were strained from the dehydration, but they are addressing that too. The good news is he has stopped throwing up and is feeling better than he has in days. He is resting more comfortably, though he is still having some cramping and discomfort in his stomach and upper intestines. They will be keeping him overnight, and we’ll see what tomorrow brings. Capt. Kyle has always been so strong and healthy, so this came as a surprise, but we are standing firm in our faith. We are believing God for complete healing and restoration that the pinched area will fully open and function normally with no need for surgery. We are standing on the authority we have in Jesus’ name for total healing and a quick recovery. Would you please stand in agreement with us? Pray for complete healing of his intestines, relief from all pain and cramping, strength for his body, and peace and rest for both he and his lovely wife Renee🙏 We are so grateful for every prayer from this amazing Patriot Family, Capt Kyle has received them and is thankful. I will keep you updated as we receive more information. Thank you for lifting Kyle up in prayer. We love you all and appreciate you standing with us. God bless you all, God Bless Capt Kyle and may God ease his pain, Kelly🙏show more
