Great question! Yes, but it depends on how the... asset is used in-game. For static objects placed in the world, less visible areas, like the underside, can have a lower UV scale. For interactive objects that can roll or be seen from all angles, maintaining equal texel density is best. For example, the TV i made for Rust. The underside of the tv where all the vents are has a lower texel density than the rest. Here you can see me averaging the uv islands to be equal in density as a comparison.show more

Baking the SDF collision mesh sparsely via running marching... cubes on world-space chunks. Each chunk's mesh is added to the physics sim as a static mesh body. When an SDF op is set to "dynamic" a dynamic body is created (and the op is longer included in the collision mesh).show more
