About that Check Engine light… I will say that... all these problems started shortly after I possibly got struck by lightning. I was pulled off on the side of the road doing a radio interview about storm chasing with 680 CJOB out of Winnipeg, home of the Jets,l. I hadn’t seen a damn bolt of lightning all day. Right in the middle of answering a question about the movie Twister, BAM out of nowhere a flash and instant crack of the loudest thunder I’ve ever heard. If it didn’t hit me it was very close. I shit you not this all happened.show more

I have learnt to understand that golf is about... minimizing your misses. On the tee, I aim up the right and I do everything to hit a draw. It gives me confidence knowing that I then have the entirety of the fairway to play with. If I hit a small draw, I end up on the right side of the fairway. If I hit a big draw, I end up on the left side of the fairway. If you aim up the middle, you double your room for error. Lesson is to learn the way you shape the ball and then make it work for you. #PXGTroopsshow more

Sorry if I did not answer many of you.... I’ve never been a fan of the online eulogy. The immediate fallout is always about loved ones. And we should leave those closest be. And then I realised of course I was just incredibly upset, and a large digital outpouring is inevitable and testament to his character. My devastation came from having to watch it all unfold. From spending years trying to help and actually getting him close to a point where he almost had a normal life again - then being powerless to stop him doing things he should not have. Powerless in every sense as it also meant it sometimes not being my place to say anything. In the end watching some of the evil shits around enable the worst of it was too much for me, I had to step back it was too painful to watch. I told my mate who was filling in for me looking after him “ah I just need some space from it all, I’ll be back with him after Christmas” and then suddenly there was no Christmas. And it turned out no one was to blame, and I immediately looked to blame myself most of all, fearing the worst. But it was a simple accident in the end. A bolt out of the blue. So if you are ever estranged or overwhelmed by friends and family and think it will all be OK one day - DON’T put it off. Reach out now. Grab that person and hold them tight. There may not be a tomorrow. You might not be around to see them off. There may not be the grand luxury of time available you thought there was. He died in the arms of his beloved son, and that is a measure of comfort, if a passing can ever have any. He was my mentor, my friend and my glad burden. And there was nothing I would not do for him.show more

Michael had never claimed to have invented the moonwalk.... “I was sitting in the back of a limousine staring out the window and I saw these kids standing around taking turns dancing and that’s where I saw it. One of them was doing the moonwalk. I had to get out and see it up close so I told the driver to stop and back up. I got out and crossed the street their corner of the sidewalk and asked him to show me how it was done and he did. I can’t ever take credit for it. It was that group of kids that taught me.”show more

This was the hardest day of my life. My... chance of dying was 99%, and the chance of surviving was only 1%… yet I survived. I came out carrying a small bag of food for my family. On that day, I was stubborn. I didn’t know the meaning of surrender. Even though gunfire was hitting the ground beneath my feet, all I could think about was running, just running until I reached the place where they were distributing what they call American aid… aid of humiliation and death. But I made it. I survived. And I carried the food to those who were waiting for me.show more

I’ve never shared the full inside baseball on the... inside fastball that broke my jaw April 5, 2008 at Ole Miss, we were facing projected 1st rounder and future Big Leaguer, Lance Lynn Before it became widespread, Lance had success pitching towards the top of the zone with a fastball that appeared to rise He got me out my first at bat on a high fastball that I should have laid off So my 2nd at bat I told myself to see the ball down in the zone My eyes jumped from his release point to the area I was trying to see the ball down to. I never ended up seeing the pitch until .01 before it hit me If you’ve ever gotten hit in the face, you don’t know what happened at first. So it took me about half a second to realize what happened When I did, I fully expected to spit teeth out and when I leaned over to spit and saw that only blood came out, I assumed I was fine Then I heard the Ole Miss head coach yell “it hit his bat,” because the cracking of my jaw sounded like a foul ball off a mental bat I turned around and yelled “shut the fuck up” at their dugout and proceeded on to first base My trainer came up to me and his first words were “oh fuck,” Knowing that was poor bedside manner, and that I was probably very fucked up, I joked “you’re not supposed to say that,” At that point I knew I was coming out of the game but I was so full of adrenaline that it didn’t hurt and wouldn’t begin to hurt for a couple hours Both the pitcher and coach felt so bad after it happened that both came to apologize to me at the end of the inning while I was beside their dugout being tended to by my trainer and their doctor I actually had to walk to the parking lot through the stadium seats and all the fans looked at me in horror as I had a white bloody rag hanging off my face. It was surreal watching their reactions to my blood We drove over to an Oxford medical center that was clearly not the best location for me to be in, so my coach’s wife drive me up to Nashville to get surgery that night We got swept that weekend and I got my jaw wired shut for the first of 6 weeks I stupidly tried to come back and play the following week. My coaches let me as I was medically cleared to hit with a face mask, but the rest of my season I was a different hitter I was hitting .400 at the time of the fracture, 2nd in the SEC, with 2 months left in the season I finished the year hitting .312. Meaning I flipped from one of the best hitters in the conference to one of the worst before and after the incident Despite finishing my Vandy career 7th on their all time hit list, this play is what I hear about the most when I return I’ve been lucky that I haven’t had much issues with my jaw thus far post incident, although I did find out that 2 of the nerves of the impacted teeth are dead, and I will likely need to get one of those teeth extracted at some point When they showed me the X Ray it was a clear break. A scary image that could have been WAY worse if it were 3 inches higher, as I likely would not be able to see out of my left eye (and wouldn’t be as handsome as I am) Anyway, to have interesting ideas you must have interesting experiences and this was certainly oneshow more

I’m probably one of the only Teslanaires out there,... if not one of the very few, still cutting my own hair. I cut my own hair again today, and it reminded me that becoming a multi-millionaire usually isn’t a random coincidence. People see the $ and think it just happened. What they usually don’t see are the small habits behind it. Of course, I could go spend $25–$50 on a haircut that probably looks better than the one I give myself. But that’s not really what matters to me. I don’t care that much about looking perfect. I care about controlling my time. I care about staying grounded. I care about keeping the kind of habits that helped me build wealth in the first place. And honestly, I enjoy doing it. I’ve been cutting my own hair for so many years that I don’t even think about going to the barber anymore. It’s just normal to me now. It saves time, keeps me frugal, and reminds me that wealth is usually built in the small choices nobody claps for. That’s the part people miss. A lot of people see wealth and assume it was luck. But a lot of the time, it’s really the result of small disciplined habits repeated for years. Not wasting $ just bc you can. Not wasting time just bc other people do. And the funny part is, one day my fleet of Tesla Bots will probably be doing it for me anyway. But until then, I’m good doing it myself. Bc to me, being wealthy was never about trying to look rich. It was about building a mindset. A mindset that values time, discipline, and freedom more than appearances. And once you really live that way, it shows up in a lot of things, even something as simple as cutting your own hair.show more

I just had the greatest experience of my life.... I'm still on cloud 9, and I don't think I want to come down. This weekend I stood in a crowd of about 400,000 people in Monza and watched a 19-year-old kid named Kimi Antonelli win the Italian Grand Prix. The first Italian to win it there in 60 years. By lap 18, he was already in the lead, trading places with his own teammate George Russell half a dozen times. Around half distance, the virtual safety car came out. George stayed out. Kimi pitted and came back out sixth, about 12 seconds behind him. Then he started chasing him down. Three laps from the end, he took the lead for good and finished 3 seconds ahead. In his home Grand Prix. I watched a kid's dream come true right in front of me. And then something happened I still can't believe. Out of tens of thousands of people, that same kid grabbed my selfie stick, the camera I bought a week ago just for this trip, and filmed a video on it. That's when it hit me. I wasn't only watching his dream come true. I was watching mine come true at the same time. My dad put F1 in front of me before I could remember a time without it. We used to wake up at 4 in the morning just to watch a race running on the other side of the world. He's not here to see this one. May he rest in peace. Standing right next to me was the best friend I've had for 30 years. The same guy I crashed a coupe with when we were 18, a coupe painted that exact Ferrari red. He flew in from another country because I asked him to. My wife was there through all of it. We lost my grandma this year, right in the middle of so much good. May she rest in peace. And 2026 has still been one of the best years of my life. I keep coming back to one thing. None of this found me by accident. There was a version of my life where I waited, where I let the market, the fear, and everyone else decide what I was allowed to have. I didn't choose that one. I made the hard decisions. I took control of my own life instead of asking permission to live it. Even that camera was a bet. I bought it not knowing if it was the right call. Then a future world champion picked it out of a sea of people. This weekend I got to go stand right in the middle of the life I built. In Monza. With the people who made me who I am. I am so grateful. Just so BLESSED.show more

I deleted all my Polymarket positions at 2am on... a Tuesday because I realized I was winning 54% of my bets and still down $11,400. It took me three weeks to understand that sentence. Fifty four percent wins. Why is the balance shrinking? The math was brutal once I finally saw it. I was buying outcomes at 55 to 65 cents feeling smart because my picks kept winning. But the payout at those prices was so thin that one loss wiped out five wins. My edge was maybe 3% and the spread was eating 4%. I dug into the data hoping to find a way to trade better and instead found a number that made me want to close the app. 70% of all Polymarket addresses are in the red. And the profits? Captured by 0.04% of wallets. Four thousand addresses out of 1.7 million own almost everything. I was playing a game where 96% of participants exist to fund the other 4%. But the trades of those wallets are public. Every entry, every exit, sitting on the blockchain. I started tracking them manually. One wallet broke me. It started January 6 with $50. By the time I found it the balance was close to $500,000. Pulling $20 to $30K a day on 15 minute BTC, ETH and SOL markets, exploiting the fact that Binance updates faster than Polymarket odds. A few seconds of lag, hundreds of times a day. I scrolled its history for an hour trying to find a losing streak. Could not. That is when I stopped doing this by hand. Set up PMX. Alerts the second a tracked wallet moves, one tap copy. → Link to bot: Three weeks of shadowing instead of trading. Made back $4,200 of my $11,400 hole. Not because I got smarter. Because I stopped pretending I was the edge. The game on Polymarket is not about being right. It is about standing behind someone who already is. I am still not in profit. But for the first time in four months my balance moves the right direction and I sleep through the night. That is worth more than any win.show more

I was riding my motorbike and I thought I... saw a dead snake on the side of theroad. I generally don't pass up free stuff. Don't judge we're all human. Anyway, I stopped to collect my snake and it turned out to be a huge blue iridescent earthworm. It was not dead. It was the coolest thing ever and I was on the side of the road fondling it for like 20 minutes. The iridescence was phenomenal. The video camera colors are not as nice as the still camera but I assure you he was vivid.show more
