There’s a feeling of “wtf is a designer anymore”... floating around… I felt it while scrolling Reddit after Figma Make was announced 😬 For some people it simply didn’t compute that a code prototype could be a design artifact. But I’ll let you in on a little secret… A few days ago I visited a well-known design leader and he said that in the last 6 months, ~40% of their team's design artifacts are now created in Lovable, Bolt, etc. That’s kind of crazy, right? It's a big reason why Ioana Teleanu (1st AI designer at Miro) said design is "in the middle of an identity crisis" So Ioana and I went deep into this topic during today's episode and I want to share a few ideas I’m still thinking about: ——— We’re in a weird moment in history where there are AI designers and non-AI designers. But this is a blip on the timeline as adoption accelerates. The idea of "AI designer" won't exist in the future Here's what Ioana said 👇 “We’re all gonna be thinking about some sort of AI angle in the way we do our work. I don’t even feel that the AI design role will exist in this explicit format in a couple of years. All the designers will be AI designers” I want to make something clear though... This woman got an alert on her home camera... that someone was trying to break in. When she speaks to him and tells him she can see him, he waves. 😂 Then she tells him to leave and that she has already called the cops. He takes off and hops the wall and is gone. Some people questioned why she would warn him that she had him on camera and told him she had notified the police. Others said he may have been able to take some stuff before the cops arrived. I would have done what she did. Why go through the hassle of repairing what he was going to break to get in, filing an insurance claim and him possibly taking something that was of value to you? Part of the reason IT people are being laid... off is that many of their abilities can be replaced by AI. In the past, the joke was that you would just google it, but that still required some IT knowledge. Now, you can ask AI how to fix an issue and it will walk you through how to fix most things. (if you have admin permissions to your computer) To be fair, no one knows all the weird nuances and issues that can arise with software so google has always been used to find IT fixes - but it took more research and knowing how to implement the fix before.show more

Only one Adobe Firefly video prompt from our research... hit production-ready on the first generation. Prompt in comments 👀 It looks you have to direct the camera as much as the model to get the most out of Firefly. Every other video session in our research needed a revision. Revising the first frame is where Firefly broke: >motion failures (temporal flicker, motion continuity, physics in motion) carried 60% of video's issue mix once designers re-prompted. TLDR: in Adobe Firefly, the camera does a lot of the work. Bake it into the first prompt and the video lands. Its by far the best time to be a creative.show more

Here is why I disengaged FSD 14.3.3. Before this... clip starts, I could see a semi coming down the on ramp and saw that it had some momentum. FSD did not slow down but the truck in the right lane would have ran into the other semi and either had to brake real hard or switch lanes. I took over to make it clear to the semi driver that I would let them over. No big deal, would be nice, if FSD could have seen that coming and facilitated that move. Tesla AIshow more
