Probably the most hated anime after which people hated 3D in anime was Berserk in 2016, it was really terrible, but 3D in anime is no longer what it was in 2010-20. 004/100 Buttons. A bit of the process on building... an animation. When looking at a finished animation or in this example a finished button, it can look quite complex inside the CSS. But when building it, it’s more like a lot of simple steps, one after another. Here I had the idea to make some kind of text animation like the footer logo on the Osmo site. I try to add the base animation with no complex easing, for example transition: translate 0.4s ease. Starting with just moving the one text from bottom to top and the other text to top. Adding a stagger, play around with it. Searching for a way to make it more circular. On the research I found the sin() function inside CSS which can build a more smooth non linear curve for the stagger which creates this circular effect. And step by step adding more complexity like, different easing for hover/hover-out, opacity, 3D transform and more. I use also the sin() function to rotate the letters, so the middle ones are getting more rotated than the outer ones. Another thing which helps is to add a small delay on hover, for example 0.05s or 0.1s, you don’t really see the difference, but when you hover pretty fast on and out it doesn’t get that jumpy. I’m using here GSAP’s SplitText to split every char into spans. And then I’m adding a CSS index variable to every span, starting from the center. SplitText can provide CSS index variables, but you cannot tell it from which direction. So remember that time machine I told you about?... I managed to sneek out another video from my visit to the future.. this time I captured video of a 3d artist creating assets for a short commercial. They sculpted the bird in the video with nothing but two controllers which they used to manipulate generative matter in 3d. The AI model changed in realtime and adopted their style of work, both based on the work they did on the scene, and on reference images they gave the system. Seeing the 3d model transform in realtime as they were working on it was incredible. When it started moving and reacted to their instructions, I knew it was time to return to the present :D #art #aishow more

If you typically stream with a 3D model, I... highly recommend that you pose your model when you’re not doing full body mocap instead of letting it stay in the stiff generic pose! It makes a huge difference in how your energy is conveyed (ᗒ⩊ᗕ)⸝ި ʕᦏ⌎ I’m only saying this because I noticed this a lot with my own 3D kids, but here’s a comparison showcase: ← default pose & default pendulum physics in Warudo → custom poses & slightly adjusted pendulum physics If you find it hard to pose within Warudo by using bone offsets or none of the existing poses in Warudo vibe with you, you can make your own like me! I made my custom poses in “VRM Posing Desktop” (this is the BEST vrm posing app I’ve ever used in the past 3 years) and exported them as Unity anims then dropped them into Warudo’s animation folder! You can then make a simple blueprint in Warudo to toggle between poses and make your model look more alive! It should fit especially well for just chatting streams 🙂‍↕️✨show more
