As blast gets closer to launch, I wanted to... share some background on how it started and its key features. The original idea was simple: let creators tokenize their tweets and allow users to buy or sell tokens just by commenting. To make this work, we needed to create wallets linked to each Twitter handle, allow users to fund these wallets, and use LLMs to interpret comments like "buy 1% of XYZ", executing trades based on user intent. This concept also worked great for social tipping. In the attached video, I send money to Matteo without needing to know his wallet address, simply by commenting under his tweet. The transaction was processed quickly, with the LLM interpreting my comment in real-time. Matteo could then retrieve the funds sent to his handle by signing in with it at GiveRep. However xWallet didn't work out due to legal complexities (self-custody related). Backpack's recent update was incredible. They didn't push any... new features (or at least none that I noticed), but it just made the overall experience so much better and smoother. It's a good lesson for everyone who obsesses over adding new features all the time. Most of the time, making the existing product more user-friendly is far more important. I personally use Backpack for the basic things like holding assets, swapping, using apps, and connecting hardware wallets. While it's great that the wallet has stocks, trending assets, and all these other features now, honestly, I couldn't care less about most of them. But as a user, I do care about the core experience being fast, simple, and easy to use, and the basic things I use it for to just be better. Oftentimes, founders obsess over new features to acquire more users and forget the existing ones using the product. Which is also why a good retention rate >>> new users that may or may not stick. So remember that time machine I told you about?... I managed to sneek out another video from my visit to the future.. this time I captured video of a 3d artist creating assets for a short commercial. They sculpted the bird in the video with nothing but two controllers which they used to manipulate generative matter in 3d. The AI model changed in realtime and adopted their style of work, both based on the work they did on the scene, and on reference images they gave the system. Seeing the 3d model transform in realtime as they were working on it was incredible. Another BIG WIN in court. Gov. Whitmer and MEDC... just caved and agreed to return the $370 million in Democrat slush funds. They tried to shove all this waste, fraud and abuse into slush funds, and I said no way. Our Budget committee took a stand and BLOCKED it. Then the Democrats tried to sneak it out the door illegally, and I sued them to stop that. Now they finally agreed with my demand. That money is coming back to the state and we can find a much better use for it to protect the taxpayers and give them better value. Thank you to the Republicans on the House Appropriations Committee for having the backbone to take a stand and put a stop to this. Their vote to block the work project designation was valid, and the money will be put into the General Fund just as the statute requires. And just like it always should have been.
