Two Romanian F-16s were scrambled to monitor the situation, while RO-Alert warnings were issued for people in Botoșani and Suceava. Several schools in the area reportedly cancelled classes. Emergency teams secured the crash site and found a small drone. No casualties, material damage or fire were reported. An IAR-330 SOCAT helicopter also took off from Bacău at 07:21 to monitor the area. The incident follows another overnight alert near northern Tulcea, where a group of aerial targets was detected over Ukrainian territory near Chilia Veche. No casualties or material damage have been reported so far. Romania’s Defence Ministry said the drone was not detected by its radar systems, as it was flying at very low altitude. A MApN team, supported by an IAR Puma SOCAT helicopter, is investigating the crash site. A RO-Alert was issued for northern Tulcea County around 11:45 amid an air alert. What appears to be a Russian Geran-2 or Gerbera... drone struck a high-rise apartment building in Galati, Romania, around 13.5 km from the border with Ukraine. Prior to the attack, air raid alerts were issued in parts of the country due to the drone incursion into Romanian airspace. At least two people were injured and another 70 evacuated from the building, where a fire subsequently broke out. Romanian authorities say they are investigating the source of the drone, however at the same time of this attack, a large-scale Russian Geran-2 drone attack was underway on the Ukrainian port city of Reni, which lies directly opposite the border with Romania.show more

BREAKING: 🇲🇩 A drone has exploded in a field... near Cernița, Florești district, Moldova, amid multiple drone incursions into Moldovan airspace during Russia’s overnight attacks on Ukraine. Authorities were alerted after a local resident reported a loud explosion near a farm. Specialized teams were sent to the scene to determine what object fell and what caused the blast. No casualties have been reported so far. Moldovan authorities say four aerial objects illegally entered the country’s airspace this morning, detected over the Briceni, Soroca, Florești and Camenca areas. The objects entered from Ukraine, with some later returning toward Ukrainian territory. A separate possible explosion was also reported near Vadul Rașcov in Șoldănești district, with preliminary information indicating it may have occurred in the Camenca area. 💢 Large-scale drone attack targets Iranian Kurdish opposition groups... in northern Iraq Iranian forces reportedly launched a wave of attack drones toward Iraq’s Kurdistan Region on Monday night, with repeated explosions and interceptions reported over Erbil. Kurdish journalist and monitor Scharo Bajalan reported at least two impacts: one in the Alana Valley near Soran, where a Komala opposition camp is located, and another north of Erbil. He said drones were launched from both Iran and areas controlled by Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces. Footage circulating online appeared to show US forces intercepting at least one drone over Erbil. The extent of any casualties or damage remains unclear. As the Douglas County firefighting helicopter approached to attack the flames, a drone was detected flying in the same airspace at the same altitude near the fire. That drone forced the helicopter to halt operations until it was grounded. With help from South Metro Fire Rescue 's technology, crews quickly tracked down the drone and its operator. Warehouses are on fire in Bucha district as a result of the Russian attack. The evening attack left 27 people dead. 42 people, including four children, are known to have sustained injuries of varying severity.
