Yesterday after securing Rena’s results, I immediately took her... and her mother to meet Tonny Tumukunde. We had a very emotional conversation. Tonny recommended a Christian school for her (Rena and her mother are Christians), Code High School. When he first mentioned the school, I thought it was just an ordinary school. Oh my… Earlier today, Rena, her mother and I traveled to Bajjo, Seeta in Mukono District to seek admission. When we arrived, we were received by the Deputy Head Teacher. After listening to the girl’s story and seeing her impressive PLE performance (Second Grade Upper – 15 aggregates), she was admitted immediately. Rena is going to a school that many of us who come from humble families only dreamt of. After the admission, it was another emotional moment as her mother broke down in tears of joy. Frame 2 shows the girls’ quarters, one for O-Level and another for A-Level. Frame 3 is the main hall and dining hall. The video shows the main classroom block. The school is not only strong in infrastructure but also academics. They performed very well in the 2025 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education examinations. The school administration has allowed Rena to start next term and catch up with her S.1 class. It all started with Mariam reaching out to me… and here we are. I genuinely cannot understand how someone can watch this... story and still stand there, looking at two women, and somehow decide that the wrong one is the victim. On one side, you have a girl (Yıldız) who has been mistreated her entire life. Since the moment she was born, she was treated like a sacrifice for a conflict she was never even part of and later we find out that this conflict never even existed. Her right to study was taken from her. She was pushed into a marriage at a very young age just imagine being six, seven, eight years old, living in fear of being tied to someone you don’t even know. She was treated like a servant in her own home, by the very people she thought were her family. And just when she gets close to the happiness she dreamed of, the man she was engaged to shows up with another wife. She gets mistreated by that wife, by his family, and even (unintentionally) by him, because he was trying to run away from his own feelings, and that only caused her more heartbreak. The whole world was literally against her. She fought through all of that, only to find out in the end that everything she suffered for was based on something that wasn’t even real. Her entire life was built on a lie. That she isn’t even part of that family that she has literally no one in this world. Now on the other side… You have a girl (Melek) who, yes, was taken from her biological mother but she was raised by loving parents. She had everything anyone could wish for: education, freedom, a happy childhood, a healthy environment. She lived her life, fell in love, went out, made choices and no one questioned her, no one controlled her. And then what did she do? She found out that her man was engaged to another woman before marrying her (and even saw him marry her) and instead of holding on to her dignity, she chose to stay, to fight for a man who lied to her, to hold onto a marriage he tried to end multiple times. She used her unborn child to keep him tied to her. She lied constantly, and her excuse was that she was “protecting her marriage” a marriage that was already broken from the moment Serhat removed that ring at the airport in episode one. She tried to hand Yıldız (a woman who had already suffered enough) over to dangerous people. Then she found out the truth about her own birth (that her father ra*ped her mother.)And still no empathy. No moment of humanity toward her own mother. All she cared about was herself. And even though none of this had anything to do with Yıldız, she still found a way to blame it on her. Instead of holding her father accountable, she went and made a deal with him to get rid of Yıldız. She literally made a deal with the devil just to hurt Yıldız one more time. Ex-Shelter Worker Breaks Silence: How Gangs Control Migrant Women... and Children in NYC : Exclusive. I just ran into a former employee from a New York City migrant shelter who told me a horror story that allegedly occurred while he was working there. According to him, there was a woman at the shelter with her son who said she was sexually assaulted while crossing the border. She claimed gang members forced her son and the child’s father to watch the assault. Afterward, the gang members allegedly killed the father. The former employee said that once she arrived in New York City, the gang continued to control her. He claimed the traffickers assigned her a new “fake husband” who lived with her inside the migrant hotel to keep watch over her. He said there are always gang members monitoring vulnerable migrants and keeping tabs on what they view as their “investments.” While she was here, the woman was allegedly forced to work as a prostitute on Roosevelt Avenue in Queens. According to the former employee, he begged his boss to fire him because he couldn’t take working in that environment anymore. He said he told his supervisors what was going on, but nothing happened. He admitted the situation pushed him to the brink, saying he felt so overwhelmed that he feared he might hurt one of the gang members. Eventually, he left the job. He told me that as a man, he couldn’t handle the stress of witnessing women and children being exploited and feeling powerless to stop it. On multiple occasions, I have also been told by different sources at migrant shelters that when couples arrive, the men with them are often fake fathers or partners pretending to be family members. As someone who has broken multiple human trafficking stories, I can relate to the feeling of helplessness when trying to help children and migrants who are being taken advantage of. As always, while watching some scenes from the episode,... I get this déjà vu. And this time it happened during the hospital scene. I’m honestly 100% sure that the earlier almost miscarriage situation was intentional. It felt like they wanted to show us Serhat’s reaction when his child and the woman carrying his child were in danger and then later contrast it with his reaction when the woman he truly loves, the other half of his soul, is the one fighting for her life. I will never stop appreciating Ilhan’s acting. From episode one people doubted him, saying he only had one expression. But back then that was Serhat… the controlled doctor, M’s husband, the surgeon who keeps everything inside. Now he’s completely different. The emotional shift is almost 180 degrees from that version of Serhat. From the cave scene to the hospital scene the emotions were already intense, but the hospital was a masterpiece. The way he could barely stay standing, the way he allowed himself to cry openly even though his guards were around him! he didn’t care. Because the woman he loves had just been lifeless in his arms. And look at the details: he went down on his knees twice in this episode for her. A man as powerful and towering as a mountain fell to his knees because he felt utterly helpless! First in the cave, when he realized he was helpless! she was fainting, the venom in her blood was faster than anything he could do, and his strength meant nothing in that moment. Then again in the hospital, when he finally reached his limit and simply couldn’t stay standing anymore😭 And this is the same man who showed almost no emotion when his father died. The same man who barely reacted when his mother had a heart attack. The same man who stayed composed when his legal wife nearly miscarried. I doubt it's the same video that we both... watched. Let's actually micro-analyse this since you wanna. Frame 1: 1) That girl was taking forward steps towards her camera when he reached out and nudged her. "Excuse me" would have been enough. Why did he have to nudge her? Also, watch his step count and the angle of his body to his hand, and you'd realise that he had enough space to pass in that very moment. 2) She said, "Can you imagine." I didn't hear the part of "who does he think he is"; but even if she did say that, since when did "who does he think he is" become a crime deserving of harassment? 3) Remember, by this man's own very account, he stated that he grabbed her hand when she refused to hand over her phone. If you're speaking of assault, then that's where the said assault started. He had absolutely no right to attempt to take her phone, NO MATTER WHAT. There are several legitimate avenues to address an errant behaviour from a student. He chose to go that route because he believed that as far as the school environment is concerned, he is the Lord of the Manor. 4) Watching the video in frame 2, you can clearly see the man dragging her by her cloth; and considering how low-cut her dress is, you can clearly see that her entire breast was completely exposed the way he held her. This video also clearly shows that she only held him back after he refused to let go of her. 5) Lastly, I put EVERY blame on this man because he had very many chances to de-escalate this situation as the elder there. While he was walking past that girl, for a split second, he looked into the camera. He was very aware that he was caught on video. He had no problems with it until he overheard the girl's snide comment. He could have kept moving. Returning there just because a (likely) 19 year old said a few words he didn't like was merely him insulting himself. Then, for those who have continued to vouch for the man being a "gentleman," let me just make this clear: no true gentleman would be found in such a situation. Police intentionally ran over the suspect in Porterville, CA,... who shot and killed a California sheriff’s detective during a shootout on Thursday. Sheriff Mike Boudreaux bluntly said during a press conference, “We intentionally ran him over… Don’t shoot at cops. You shoot at cops, we’re going to run you over. He got run over. He got what he deserved.” The suspect, David Eric Morales, was killed when a law enforcement BearCat armored vehicle ran over him after he continued firing and refused to surrender. Morales was being served an eviction notice, after 35 days of not paying rent, and then opened fire on deputies in an apparent ambush that led to an hours-long standoff. Morales was barricaded in the home for hours while he fired on law enforcement. He eventually exited through a window and was later found outside, lying in brush while wearing camouflage, still a threat, and was subsequently run over. Deputy Randy Hoppert has been identified as the person Morales senselessly shot and killed during the gunfight. Hoppert was a Navy corpsman who served from 2010 to 2015 and joined the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office on Jan. 5, 2020. He was struck by gunfire and transported to Sierra View District Hospital, where he died at 11:57 a.m. Morales had allegedly ambushed the deputies, prompting a call for additional units. He shot at everything, including vehicles, officers, and even a drone. After Deputy Hoppert was gravely injured, the gloves came off and Morales eventually met his end under an armored vehicle.
