Lavar Ball calls out Erik Spoelstra for his comments... on LaMelo’s play on Bam😳 “Spoelstra don’t be making all these excuses talking about you don’t want to make an excuse. Then why you making one?…if someone is falling on top of me — you best believe I’m going to put my hands up…that’s just how the Balls are taught. I got my bag!!! British Airways even though I... had to drive 2hours to the courier depot because they just didn’t deliver my bag to my address after changing the delivery times every hour keeping me on edge and not knowing how to move ‘incase’ they showed up which they never did. I ended up calling and asked them to collect the bag myself so I could at the very least fly home with my clothes which I have not worn. Bag still wrapped about to check in. “Love my life!” To the people who helped me thanks you tried but nothing worked. Flying home I have crazy anxiety about losing my bag again 😭 #NightmareWithBAshow more

YUTA TALKING ABOUT HIS FAMILY’S THOUGHTS WHEN DECIDED TO... BE AN IDOL TRAINEE IN KOREA 🍒 My family would miss me, so that’s the sad part. It’s the first time I ever saw my dad crying, just bursting into tears and he said “It’s fine if you (want to) go, but go with the feeling that you’re not coming back.” (Don’t come back until you got to be successful). What a touching story. 🥹 Yes, we’re focused… on your visuals. 🫢 #YUTA #中本悠太show more

Good morning and where do I start? I’m so... proud of the man you’re becoming and I’m so thankful to have you in my life. The first player I met and the first player I had dinner with after I became the receivers coach at Baylor. Yes I’m speaking it into existence but it’s also the feeling I have when I tell you God truly has a calling on your life. The person you are lets me know the lord is and will continue to bless you more than you can imagine. I love you like a son, little brother, nephew, etc…. Played receiver for a big time program like Baylor, played in the NFL, from the great state of Texas but more importantly a GREAT person and man of God. So you have all the tools you need to be successful in this coaching profession but more importantly LIFE! I’m so thankful to be a part of your journey. I’m going to do EVERYTHING in my power with the help of God to make sure you succeed. I told you this and I truly believe it. You’re the next great coach/receivers coach. Love you G and this post doesn’t do justice for how I feel about you or the kind of person you are✊🏾🙏🏾❤️💯 Gavin Holmesshow more

Hello all, Firstly thank you for the love and... faith. Keeping in mind your thoughts and wishes for the World Cup cricket anthem, I have an idea on how we can create a masterpiece together. Check out the link below. It's an exciting experiment that can work wonders if done right. It's also a chance for new music composers, writers, and producers to showcase their talent in the most democratic way possible. But here's the best part: creativity knows no bounds, so anyone can share their ideas! So, hear me out and let me know your thoughts. If you have something to share, please provide a link or video. Supporting Ukraine isn't really about where you’re from; it’s... just about being human. You can feel the strength of my country even from thousands of miles away, but you can’t force that on anyone who just doesn't want to see it. Honestly, there’s no point in trying to talk someone into feeling compassion. If there’s no room in your heart for Ukraine and our people right now, when things are this hard... it’s probably never going to be there. Love and empathy - they’re either there or they aren't. Simple as that.show more

"I cut carbs and lost all my strength" is... a sentence that always ends with "...after four whole days." It tells me nothing about carbs and everything about your patience. Here is what you actually did. You spent decades running on sugar, topping up glycogen every few hours. Then you handed the body a long weekend to switch over to a fat-burning system it has barely touched since you were weaned. Naturally the first week feels flat. You asked a rusty engine to turn over and panicked when it coughed. That is the adaptation, not the verdict. The body has to dust off enzymes and pathways it left dormant for years, relearning how to run on fat the way it ran for most of human history. That takes weeks, not an afternoon. But no. Day five, the weights feel heavy, and out you charge to inform the internet that humans simply cannot function without bread. A species that crossed ice ages on meat and fat, apparently felled by one underwhelming session. Give it three or four weeks before writing the eulogy. Eat enough fat to actually fuel the transition, ride out the flat patch, and let the engine you forgot you owned warm up properly. The strength comes back once you adapt. You just have to outlast a toddler's attention span to find out.show more

Best part about being a builder? Locking in $500/mo... service contracts just to get priority. This lady pays me $500/mo so I come out within 3 days of her call. Then I charge $900/hr to replace the cabinet door bumpers. If you’re a builder and you’re broke, that’s on you.show more

🚨 Ferran Torres reveals Spain's final team talk: "The... coach told me Argentina were waiting for penalties he sent me on to finish the game. 🗣️ Ferran Torres When I was about to come on, the coach called me over and showed me exactly where Argentina were leaving space. He pointed out the gaps behind their midfield and told me they had stopped trying to win the match. In his eyes, they were already thinking about taking the game to penalties. He looked at me and said, 'If this goes to penalties, it becomes a different game. We have to finish it before then.' He told me to attack with confidence, make aggressive runs and be brave in front of goal. His message was simple: don't wait go and decide the final. That gave me so much belief. As a substitute, you dream of moments like that. The manager trusted me with the biggest responsibility in football, and I wanted to repay that trust. Scoring in a World Cup final is something I'll remember forever, but it all started with the confidence the coach gave me before I stepped onto the pitch.show more

Power Rows 🚂 Underrated exercise to help blow up... your deadlift and make your back jacked AF. Here’s me hitting 315×8- focusing on being as explosive as possible. I’ll typically do these as a secondary exercise on deadlift days, after my main deadlift and hip hinge work. These are featured in a lot of my Powertrain programs, and they’re a huge part of how I build strength AND size in the posterior chain. ☑️Pro tip: Cue “chest down” when you drive your elbows back to initiate the row- this keeps your torso in a good position and takes your legs mostly out of the liftshow more

Rivian is releasing this super cool Halloween update where... you can “dress up” your Rivian in one of three themes. Another showcase of their vertical integration of software / hardware / fun engineers! The “Trunk or Treat” option is perfect for leaving your Rivian in the driveway to create a spooky aura during the trick-or-treat hours 😱. There are a few different freaky music choices but the best part is you can select from a bunch of different scary sounds from a sound board on your mobile app to freak people out as they approach your truck. This comes on top of the other fantastic improvements found in the software package 2024.39 - which include a gauge cluster refresh, third zone climate control (rear can now be set to a different temp), and more! I’ve been lucky enough to play around with these updates for a bit BUT you really should go check out Jose | RivianTrackr for the full detailed information on the Halloween surprises. Rivian will release these features tomorrow to the wide user base ⚡️show more

Rest periods under 90 seconds serve exactly one purpose:... keeping your heart rate up so the session feels productive. Your muscles do not care about your heart rate. They care about mechanical tension. Which requires being fresh enough to lift a challenging weight on the next set. Rest 3 minutes. Lift heavy. Grow. Or rest 60 seconds, stay half-cooked, lift lighter than you should, and tell yourself the burn is the point. One is training. The other is cardio with a barbell prop. The man pacing the gym in compression shorts, panting between sets, glancing at his watch every fifteen seconds, has confused tiredness with progress. He's done a great job at being tired. The man on the next machine, sat on a bench scrolling his phone for three minutes between heavy sets of six, is the one whose shirt has stopped fitting in the shoulders. The body responds to the load on the bar. The body does not respond to your stopwatch.show more

Dreams do come true My mother is my pillar... of strength. As a single parent, she worked three jobs to put food on the table, despite the endless obstacles we faced. These challenges shaped me into the man, father, and son I am today. One of the biggest reasons I chase ‘financial freedom’ is so that my mum can be free. I always said to myself she had a hard 1st part of her life, hard 2nd part and I will do everything in my power to make sure the 3rd part is easy and enjoyable. I have done countless things for her and plan to do more. But recently a emotional one was I bought her a business class ticket to Hong Kong, gave her spending money for a whole month, and arranged other amenities for her. Alhamdulilah This post is meant to inspire you. It’s a reminder that ‘YOU CAN DO IT.’ Do things for the right reasons, earn an honest living, stay true to yourself, love and support your family, and appreciate those who helped you get to where you are today. To my Mum, I love you. I promise that in the coming years, there will be wonderful surprises that I’ve been working on for the past decade just for you. It wasn’t easy but it was worth it Remember, it’s You vs You, and Me vs Me. Champ out ✌🏻show more

“Bruce Lee had me up to three miles a... day, really at a good pace. We'd run the three miles in twenty-one or twenty-two minutes. Just under eight minutes a mile [Note: when running on his own in 1968, Lee would get his time down to six-and-a-half minutes per mile]. So this morning he said to me ‘We're going to go five.’ I said, ‘Bruce, I can't go five. l'm a helluva lot older than you are, and I can't do five.’ He said, ‘When we get to three, we'll shift gears and it's only two more and you'll do it.’ I said ‘Okay, hell, I'll go for it.’ So we get to three, we go into the fourth mile and I'm okay for three or four minutes, and then I really begin to give out. I'm tired, my heart's pounding, I can't go any more and so I say to him, ‘Bruce, if I run any more, — and we're still running — ‘if I run any more I'm liable to have a heart attack and die.’ He said, ‘Then die’ It made me so mad that I went the full five miles. Afterward I went to the shower and then I wanted to talk to him about it. I said, you know, ‘Why did you say that?’ He said, ‘Because you might as well be dead. Seriously, if you always put limits on what you can do, physical or anything else, it'll spread over into the rest of your life. It'll spread into your work, into your morality, into your entire being. There are no limits. There are plateaus, but you must not stay there, you must go beyond them.’” - John Little, “The Art of Expressing the Human Body” (1998)show more

In Friends, Lisa Kudrow says there was definitely “mean... stuff” going on behind the scenes. “Don’t forget we were recording in front of a live audience of 400, and if you messed up one of these writers’ lines they could be like, ‘Can’t the bitch fucking read?’ ‘She’s not even trying. She fucked up my line.’ “And we know that back in the room the guys would be up late discussing their sexual fantasies about Jennifer Aniston and Courteney.” “It was intense. It could be brutal, but these guys, and it was mostly men in there, were sitting up until 3 a.m. trying to write the show, so my attitude was, ‘Say what you like about me behind my back because then it doesn’t matter.’”show more
